We sail 12/11 and we leave for FL on Wednesday the 8th.

Thursday the 9th we do Magic Kingdom

Friday we check out and head to Radisson. But we don't check in until 3pm.

We are looking for something to do with two small kids under 6 en route to the port. We don't want to go to WDW again, and we aren't interested in Downtown Disney (done that, mostly just stores). It won't take hours and hours to get to the port so we are kind of twiddling our thumbs for a while.

Even though the Radisson's stated check in time is 3:00 pm...if your room is ready they will let you check in early....and if your room is not ready you are welcome to use the hotel's facility like the pool, hot tub, etc. There are things to do in the Cocoa Area to kill time like miniature golf, lunch, Ron Jon's surf shop, etc.

Just go over to the Pier on Cocoa Beach and extend your beach experience. The kids will love to play in the sand. You can have lunch here too overlooking the water.

I would try to check in that morning. When your room is ready..they will let you in. We have checked in in the morning before and enjoyed the resort all day.

We are on the same sailing :)

Sometimes the weather in Florida can be a little chilly, at least too chilly for an outdoor pool and going to the beach in swimsuits. Don't worry, as soon as we get away from Florida, it will be nice and warm! I cruised the same time last year, and it was chilly at Port the afternoon right before the left, but was nice and warm when we woke up the next day at sea!

Kennedy Space Center is not too far from the port, might be an interesting few hours for your kids. There is admission though, I want to say $25 per adult, but not sure.

Would you be interested in a character meal.

Have a leisurely morning and book a late character breakfast at Cape May or somewhere. By the time you hit the port, it will be 1 or 2 in the afternoon.

Frankly, there is pretty much nothing but a few gas stations between Orlando and the Port.

At the port there is the beach and Cape Kennedy. But Cape Kennedy isn't too interesting to small children.

You could also head to DTD - but see a movie. Or see a movie out near the cape.

Spend the "day" at Sea World. It's a fun and interesting place. Children gennerally like animals and at SW they have lots of shows to see the dolphins, killer whales, sea lions/otter/walrus's (or are the walrui?), and a "pet" show that is terrific!! :cheer2:

It's a big place, but there is a lot of time sitting waiting for the shows and watching them. There are also several "petting" pools for kids and adults to try and get a hands on experience.

We'll also be at the Magic Kingdom on Thursday, the 9th. One week from today! We're also going to the parks on the 10th and driving to the port Saturday morning.
