Need a good GF graham cracker crust

Kinnikinnick makes delicious crumbs. You can use these in any recipe calling for graham cracker crumbs. If you can't find them in the health food section of any of your grocery stores or health food stores (this would surprise me but if you can't) then you can order online from them.

Thanks! I will look for them. My grocery store just remodeled and included a very large health food section with all new products. Hopefully they have this brand.

I just crush up whatever gluten free cookie meets my fancy. I make a chocolate cheesecake where I use GF vanilla wafers as the crust. I've also used GF ginger snaps too.

Don't feel limited. Other cookie combos make great subs. :thumbsup2

We also like Mi-Del GF arrowroot cookies (animal crackers) crushed and mixed with a little bit of brown sugar and melted butter.

Thanks, those are both good suggestions.

You'll probably want to stick with crunchy cookies. Soft or chewy ones may not crumble up to the right texture.

The Pamela's gf ginger snaps are amazing! Crush them up, add a little melted butter and press into your pan for crust. I'm planning to make a key lime pie with them.:)

We have used a couple of different things for our pie crusts. I really like Smoreables, but it takes almost a whole package of them for one crust. The great part is that it stays super crunchy for 2 days after (it may even last longer, but no pie lasts longer than 2 days here :rotfl:). In fact, last Thanksgiving I made a gluten free chocolate pie with the Smorables Crust and it was the first pie gone. I don't think my mother-in-law was as thrilled with everyone's praise for my pie as I was :rotfl2:

We also have used cinnamon Chex as a crust and Trader Joes Ginger Snaps. Both make tasty crusts!

I have also used crushed pecans for cheesecake druses and it's my gave. If I'm cooking for someone with a nut allergy, I use any gf cookie or sometimes chocolate chex cereal.
