Any recommendations? Almost all the vans from the "big" companies only seat 7 passengers.

I just wanted to mention that if you need a minivan that seats 8 for your trip, whatever are you going to do with your luggage? While a Sienna can seat 8 tightly, it surely can't handle all of that luggage. When we are that size of a party, we generally will rent 2 vehicles. Most minivans might be able to hold 3-4 pieces of luggage, if you add a stroller in the mix then all bets are off. Good luck. We are a party of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids (6 & 4) in boosters) and we have done this many times and find that some of us have to hold suitcases on our laps just to get to the resort. Lucky for us that we use RAC for the trip back.

I did think about the luggage. This trip, we'll each be taking only what will fit in a carryon bag plus just one checked bag for all of us. So if we need to ride from and to the airport with backpacks on laps, it's okay. Once we unload at our pool home, we won't have to worry about the luggage in the van until we go back to the airport.

With a washer and dryer at the home, we'll only need about 3 changes of clothing each. Two of my sons spent 16 days in Europe in May and only carried a backpack. If they can do it to Europe, we can do it to Disney!

You are correct that if we still had small ones needing strollers, this wouldn't be doable.

Two vehicles is our next option. Since DH and I are the only drivers, I'd have to drive all the time and I'd rather not (I would rather look out the window!) plus it doubles our parking expenses. For this trip, that expense alone adds another $186.

I own a 2011 Sienna and it is an 8 passenger van. There is a TON of space for luggage. If you are packing how you say you are, you will have more than enough space.

Good chance your personal auto policy and/or credit card coverage won't apply to a 15 person van.

You can call and see if an agency will guarantee an 8 passenger min-van (Toyota). Two cars, even when you include the extra parking fees, might be cheaper.

I think Avis rents an 8 passenger SUV (Suburban) but I'm not sure if it's available in Orlando.

You might need to call the actual Orlando location and ask.

Thanks! Avis does have one!

And thanks for the info about the Sienna - now I know if they list it, it should be 8 passenger.
