Neck fans and UV Umbrellas a "Must Have"?

We were reading another post where a family used a UV umbrella to help with the heat at the parks. DH loved the idea, but not sure how much we'd really use it. I feel like we are going, going, going and can't imagine navigating through the crowds with an umbrella (when it's not raining). Thoughts.

We used our umbrella for sun, mainly in lines. There was a lot of stop and go moving plus the distancing made it easy. When it rained, it wasn’t a problem with the crowds as most seek shelter.

Neck fans are uncomfortable for me and not worth the benefit. Having an umbrella is nice for the rain, but I don't use it for the sun. Drinking more water than you think you need is the key to tolerating the heat.

Which now with fast pass not here is going to make things difficult for my trip next month. Gonna drink a lot then wait on very long lines lol not a pleasant experience.

I never tried an umbrella cause it’s just another thing I’d have to hold but I hear good things for people who really need them for heat

I am interested in the umbrellas as I currently have trouble in the sun due to an eye problem. I wonder if the umbrella will help protect my eye more than sunglasses (using both). On the hunt for a cool hat as well. My beach hat gets too hot. I do have a Columbia one.
