I know you all know this but being a FW newbie, I will ask the experts.... we are renting a car and driving to the Fort. Where can we stop for groceries?

If you head back to Down Town Disney and head out Hotel Plaza blvd when you get to the lights at the crossroads centre (don't go to goodings) you will want to hang a left and go about 5 minutes down the road you will see a Winn Dixie on the right hand side it is closer than the publix that are around and we find it a bit cheaper also.

The people at the front desk directed me to Goodings (24 hours) this evening about 10:30. It was SO DARK the way they had me going and I was alone in the car trying to read the map with the little tiny lines that I got all turned around !! I found my way eventually but on the way back got turned around again at ended up going through the WDW Main gates again !! I would definitely recommend stopping somewhere BEFORE you get here, lol.

The Publix is really close to LBV and much nicer than other grocery stores. It's also near the outlet mall with the Disney outlet (Character Premiere, owned by Disney).

I have tried to redirect others from Goodings. It is the closest but most expensive I've ever seen. I feel they deserve any bad posts because they are a ripoff. I went in and after looking at their prices put my items back and left. The clerk saw me doing this and got mad at me. If you know how to get to 535 take a left instead of going straight to Goodings and go about a mile and on the right is Winn Dixie. Their claim to fame is "The Beef People" and usually have good meat and other items. To me Goodings is a place that takes advantage of people and shame on the CM who directed you there.
