Nearest pharmacy

I am not sure if this is the place to post this, but here goes... My DH will need to refill a prescription while we are at WDW, does anyone know where the nearest pharmacy is? Our prescriptions are from Walmart. Thanks to all who respond.

There is a pharmacy at both Target and Walmart--both are very close.

Just a note, there is a CVS down by the World Marriott, just off of property, but they actually don't dispense perscriptions--we found that out the hard way last year.

The nearest (and largest) nearby WalMart is on Vineland Road in Kissimmee, 34746.

Could you refill the prescription before you leave? This way you will be set for the trip.

There is a Walgreens fairly close to downtown Disney. You go out of the Disney area and take a left onto S. Apopka Vineland. The Walgreens will be down the street on the left hand side of the road. The address is:

They have a 24 hour pharmacy. The pharmacy phone number is (407)238-0600. You probably would want to call ahead to make sure they had the medication on hand.

Could you refill the prescription before you leave? This way you will be set for the trip.

Yes, check with your local pharmacy before you leave. I know our insurance company will let you refill a prescription at least a few days before the 30 day mark. If you are leaving on the trip anytime within 1 week before the 30 day point I'd think you'd have a chance at refilling it early. If it is close to the cut off ask the pharmacist if they could call the insurance company and get a one time waiver to allow you to fill it early. It can't hurt to try!

Turner's Drugs will delivery to the resort for a very minimal fee. I have used them a few times.
