I know this been done hundreds of times (maybe if the search function worked it would not be neccessary) but, coming from the airport on the tollway, what options are available for groceries stops? We will have our own car. Nothing special and no Goodings, our destination is BWV.
I am not familiar with street names so I couldn't do a search for a close Publix or Walmart in relation to EPCOT resorts.

Thanks all,
John

I192 - Internation Drive has a Walmart. It is about 5 miles away from Disney on the right. It is much better than shopping at Crossroads, you'll save at Walmart.

Coming from the airport, hang a right on 535, go past the Crossroads (Goodings) about 3 more lights; there is a big grocery store in that strip mall on the right (the name escapes me).

I think CRobin is talking about Winn Dixie- the exact address is 11957 S Apopka Vineland Rd
Orlando, FL
32836-7025.
I followed earlier advice from the boards to apply for the discount card online and it came in about a week.

John,
There's a publix about a 5 min drive from BWV.
Take a right out of BWV, at light Buena Vista Drive take a left, at next light take a right on Victory Way, at next light Osceola Parkway take a left, you will go over or under I4, take right onto South International Drive, Publix will be about a half mile on left.

Coming from MCO, there's a very convenient Albertson's. I don't know about prices, however be aware of one thing. There is one unmanned toll booth and it's exact change only! 50 cents. If you don't have exact change, you just drive through the toll booth while bells and whistles go off. I know!

If you go to the Publix that skelooch suggests make sure you have that $0.50 for the toll booth exact change!

I did not and since I had my parents car from Fort Lauderdale with FL plates, I did not dare break the toll regulations

Had to go all the way to John Young Parkway to get to a manned tollbooth then south to #192 West back to the Publix - what a ride!!!

Thanks

We found a Publix behind the Premium Outlet Malls - not too far away. If you exit Disney and go towards Crossroads you want to turn right (don't go straight), go under the bridge and then take your first left. There's a Bahama Breeze restaurant on the left-hand side when you turn (this is a great restaurant if you're hungry on the way to the store). Follow the road as it curves to the left and then to the right, go past a big church on the right (the highway is on your left by now) and then you'll come to the outlet mall. Go into the parking lot and follow it around until you get to the opposite corner of the mall that you came into. You will see off in the distance a brand new publix grocery store, an Eckerds, and some other stores.

This place will definitely save you some money over Goodings. Worth the drive.:smooth:

I wanted to get directions, so went to walmart.com, and they have a store locater, but you need a near-by zip code....?
