Count us in - it will be me and DH - this will be the first time in our 24 years of marriage that we vacationed with our kids - it's going to be interesting

If its not too late we would like to join in on the FE exchange as well.

Welcome to the group! I have added you to the list.

I did received the test email for the fe and it looks like your promotion of hop on hop off bus will be getting two more sale in each port.

The Hop On Hop Off Bus excursions we picked were the 2 with extras, In Halifax, the "Essential Halifax with Big Pink Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off" included entrance fee for the Maritime Museum and the Citadel Historic Site, in Saint John, we got the "Big Pink Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off & Bay of Fundy Scenic Railway". Apparently the Scenic Railway portion is only available thru cruise excursions.

We are interested in joining the fish extender gift exchange.
Haven't yet decided on excursions. Going to make final payment this week...so excited!

I have added you to the FE list.

Did you pick a cut off date for the FE. I am hoping to know mid August if my Mom and I are able to sail with you. My DH and I leave on Sunday, and will be doing this same cruise. I will post and helpful tidbits when we return. I will try and answer questions. If there is something in particular that you want me to look for or find out, let me know before Sunday.

So far, there is no cut off date for the FE exchange, if folks want a cut off date, we could all agree on one.

I stopped getting notifications, so I haven't checked in awhile. DH and I are getting VERY excited for this cruise. We're doing the 2 night next month, but really can't wait to get onto a longer cruise. I can't remember if we signed up for the FE, but if not, we'd love to join in!

There has not been too much activity on this thread until recently, I guess we are getting closer to the cruise date and more excited. I do have you signed up for the FE list.

We are paid in full. Not sure which excersions yet, leaning toward the hop on off bus for both cities with the train for Halifax. Have finished FE gifts, made extras for late comers. Alex

Has anyone suggested a dis-meet when we board to get cabin number updates and to meet everyone? The Prominade lounge at 3PM worked well on other cruises. With a small group we could easily fit in the lounge and keep the meet to 15-20 minutes so everyone can unpack bags, do pool time, etc.. Alex

On a past cruise we did our meet in the Promenade lounge about a half hour before the muster drill, which worked really well. Everyone had already unpacked or rested and there wasn't much going on around the ship at that point.

I'm making my final payment tomorrow and get to reserve Palo/Excursions starting Thursday. Can't wait!

Meeting at Promenade Lounge at 3pm sounds great to me, should not be a problem with our small group! If we do a 60 day prior cut off, it would be around July 12th, how does that sound to everyone?

On every cruise I have been on lately, I have seen FEs that are not related to our group. Again, we have started a new craze!)

We went thru Disney excursions for the Hop On Hop Off bus tours because at one port (can't remember which), you can only get the bus tickets thru a cruise line, and the Fundy Scenic Railway is also only available thru a cruise line, and those were the things we would have done on our own if we could have.

Anyone else stay up late last night making reservations for Palo and shore excursions? I was up till 1:30 playing around with it and got my reservations!!!
Are we only allowed to book one dinner and one brunch at Palos?
That's all I booked but I wasn't sure.
I also booked the railway tour .... Sounded cool. Thinkin of doing the ahoy sailing trip too...not sure.

I am not sure what the restrictions on Palo bookings are, maybe someone else knows. We like brunch best and book that.

I would post what it looks like, but not sure how. One side has Mickey head with red and white stripes on top and Canadian flag on the bottom with the dates of the cuise and ports on the Mickey head. The other side shows the map with ports and the route.

Alex sounds great, can you save the image as a jpg file then put in photobucket or similar and then post. That would work, photos are not easily posted here.

BTW I hope anyone who was planning on doing the railroad excursion in Saint John has read the reviews and has cancelled it. How disappointing that it was such a flop, but glad that people posted honestly about it...just one more think I love about the disboard!!
