Please send me one in spread sheet style so much easier to read. I don't need one right now. Send it out when everyone info is in.

I will make sure that everyone I have an email for gets the final list! (as well as posting it here)

Lynn we are in cabin 6658. Thanks for doing all this:love:

Got it!

Lynn, thanks so much for doing this!

We are Heather & Jared and we are in #6022.

Got it!

Alex sounds great, can you save the image as a jpg file then put in photobucket or similar and then post. That would work, photos are not easily posted here.

Scott- You give me credit for things I have no idea about. Whats a jpg file and I thought a bucket is for carrying water!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hi! I am on the fence if I will join you all in September. I wouldn't mind going to Halifax again but would pass on Saint John.

Here is a quick TR.

The trip was fun. If anyone is taking the train, we were off the ship by 6:45 and after a stop up to talk to security we were back at Penn Station by 7:50 am. We changed our tickets to the 9:30 train instead of waiting around til noon.

I thought the whole trip was cold and windy. I would definitely pack a sweatshirt. The prices were high in the ship stores.

Halifax was great. We did this port on our own. We took a taxi from the port to the Citadel. Taxi was 10.00 not including a tip. He also gave us his card and we would take us anywhere we wanted for a rate of 45.00 a hour. He would take credit cards. We didn't take him up on the offer because we had a full day plan.

Citadel- We spent 2 hours touring the fort. We paid for the tour. it was around 25.00 for 2 adults. Fabulous tour, very informative. Saw the old town clock on our way to the gardens.

Next stop Public Gardens- The gardens were beautiful. We spent around 30-40 minutes. Their spring time flowers were in bloom.

Lunch- McDonald- DH got the McLobster. He said it didn't have much taste. It was like a lobster salad, cold.

The Old Burying Ground- They had a tour guide there who walked us around talking about the history and showing some of the stones- FREE

Saint Paul's church- Another free guided tour. Again very interesting tour on the history of the church, the area and the Halifax Explosion.

Next it was off to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. I don’t recall the exact price but with AAA discount or ship discount it was under 12.00 for 2 adults. I was a little disappointed with this stop. They didn’t have as much on the titanic as I thought they would. We were probably there 45 minutes or less.

Last we went window shopping at the places that were recommended by the ship. We didn’t buy anything.

Saint John- Women were given a rose and the men were given a canadian flag pin when you left the ship. It was a very nice welcome. Our tour was ok. We did the Adult St. Martan tour. It was long. The first stop on our tour was to the Reversing falls. Sorry I didn’t find it interesting. It was slack time so nothing was really going on. Next we went to their Market. We were given 20 minutes to look around. Sorry this was more time then we needed. But then we have a market at home and it really isn’t that much different. DH and I left and walked across the street to King’s Square a park area. After that we stopped at a body of water. I forgot what the guide called the area. It had 2 covered bridges and a lighthouse. It was neat to see. Again the covered bridges are something that I can see at home so it wasn’t that different for me. After that we were to go to the sea caves. The highlight and reason I picked this tour. The tides were not with us. It was high tide and we could not see the caves. The beach is all rock. You can look for something called a wishing rock but she didn’t tell us about them until we were back on the bus. We had lunch there. It was either a cup of seafood chowder and a biscuit or chicken tender and fries. MY DH had the chowder and said it was good. Everyone also got a drink and 2 cookies. After that stop we drove back and saw more on the houses and another stop at the reversing falls. Again it was slack time. They got us back to the ship right on time. At dinner we shared our experiences. The person who did the whale watching had the best time.

Sorry we didn’t go to the shows or pirate night. My DH was not into it. I did catch Disney Dream on our TV and it was really good. I had to make a decision on staying up to see Brave or get up to see the NY lights. I chose the lights. It was really neat to see the NY skyline all light up.

We did do bingo twice. We didn’t win and I thought it was expensive. They offered Tea with Alice on both of the sea days. If you are interested you need to stop at guest services to get your free tickets. Seating was limited.

Special costumes for Mickey and Minnie-

Minnie was dressed as the Statue of Liberty in the NY port terminal, the first night and last night.

Mickey was dressed as Uncle Sam n the NY port terminal, the first night and last night.

Mickey was dressed as a fisherman in yellow on Halifax day.

Anyone know if the Magic left port early today due to the NY weather? I took a ride into Coney Island too see her but I think she was already out too far....but I did get to visit my dh at work at least.

I decided to give this thread a bump! I am sure everyone is busy during the summer. Anyone else researching for the ports?

Never to Old - Thanks for your report! We are looking forward to this trip.

Have a great weekend all!

DH and I are still trying to decide what we want to do in the ports. Halifax we'll maybe just walk around and take in the sights on our own, but in St. John we are stumped!

We're doing the two night cruise in two weeks, so once we get off that we can focus more on this one. Plus, we're working on our Food & Wine plans. Busy summer of planning for us!

Not so much researching the ports yet still looking for the cheap hotel in NYC that the hotel is not on the bed bug registry. I know cheap and NYC dont go together. I am determined to find something for a post cruise visit to NYC.

We have been looking at the ports....I think we will do Halifax on our own, just walking around...maybe go to Peggys Cove. Saint John's, we have no idea yet what to do...possibly just the hop-on, hop-off bus. I read in someones TR that the river cruise was nice, whale watching was fun and the trolley ride was good....so still trying to decide.

We are flying into to Newark and staying at the Holiday Inn there.

We are looking at those and trying to decide if it's worth it to do in Halifax, or if we could do that on our own. We really want to see the Titanic cemetary (well, I do, DH doesn't care!), get some Beaver Tails, and tour a brewery or two. Anyone doing the brewery tour DCL is offering or heard about it?

In St. John we'd like to see the Bay of Fundy, but aren't seeing anything with great reviews. Suggestions?
