There are quite a few under the GTY status right now, just let me know what your stateroom number is when you get it. I am assuming that since you did not mention it, you are not participating in the FE exchange - is that correct?

For all of you not participating in the FE exchange, I am still making a roster of stateroom numbers, don't forget the "Roaming Gnome" event that everyone will need a list of DIS'ers stateroom numbers for!

Correct. Unfortunately, because we will not know our staterooms till the day of travel, we will not be participting in the FE exchange.

OK, but the way, for you and everyone else, I will bring a dry erase board that will live on our stateroom door (7628) for room updates, anyone can put room updates on the board. Another good place to exchange room updates is at the DIS meet at 2:30 at Promenade Lounge.

Also, for those looking for that spreadsheet I said I would email - it will have to be tomorrow, sorry for the delay.

What a great idea, thank you!

Dissenting opinion here...

We were in Saint John in June, on the first DCL cruise to Canada. We loved Saint John. There are so many things to see and do there that I still can't decide what to do on this cruise. We took the Saint John River Cruise, just looking for an afternoon to relax. The area around Saint John is known for its scenic beauty, and we were absolutely not disappointed. We stopped at the Reversing Falls, and while they were not at their peak, we could see the difference between the water from the Bay and the water from the river. There was quite a bit of "rapids" there. The excursion included a tour of Saint John. It's an industrial city, and a real, working, commercial port. It isn't strictly a tourist destination like so many other places that we've cruised too. It was interesting (at least to us) to see how the city is reinventing itself into a place where people will come to vacation and not just to work.

We took a walk around a few blocks near the port. There are some absolutely beautiful old buildings being restored on the next street up from the port. If you enjoy architectural photography, this is a wonderful place to practice, as well as a great place to peek into some shops.

We really have no idea what we want to do in Saint John...right now have the HOHO pink bus booked, but am interested in the river cruise....Is it worth the money. My dh thinks it might be silly to take another "boat" ride since we are already on a very large "boat".

BTW...what is everyone packing for this trip? Summer/Fall or combination of both. I was thinking of dress capris for dinner, but wonder if it will be really chilly at night. Any thoughts??

The River Cruise was an amazing tour up the Saint John river in an old Mississippi River workboat. Our guide was great and she gave lots of history And local color info. We stopped at the Reversing Falls twice. While we didn't see it at its highest point, we could see enough to get the idea. If you decide to. Take this trip, make sure you bring a sweater. It was a bit windy and chilly on the river. We saw eagles in their nest and looked for seals and moose, but didn't see any of those!

I am thinking that unless there's a heatwave then, it will be chilly during the day and evenings, so I will be bringing dress pants for dinner, except for dress up night, of course. We went to Alaska last summer, so I'm thinking slightly, but not too much more warmer. DH does not think I will need to bring a jacket, but I will let him freeze, I'm bringing mine with my thin gloves for the veranda just in case.

Yes. This is the exact situation I'm in and I got my own packet at my home address while the other people in the cabin will get their own and their addresses. Yours might just take another day or two. :)

Thanks, I'm glad to hear it works this way. I'll try & be patient :)

Okay, so I really don't know the answer to your question. But, have you double checked to make sure they haven't merged the 2 addresses? DCL did this when my son (under 18) shared a cabin with my DBIL. I had to have them change it back to our address.

Thanks for the info. I hope DCL has our addresses separated, but if I don't get my packet by Friday I'll give them a call to check.

Not sure how accurate they are, but on DCL website go to Magic then dining rooms/ restaurants then there are menus for each.

OK, we decided that we needed to add a column to the Roster for those interested in participating in the "Wandering Gnome" event, so I need everyone to let me know if they are interested or not. (Since I already have the Roster made, it will be little effort to add this). We do not want the gnome to end up on someone's door who is not interested. If someone has already started a list, let me know, I know there is one going on FB, but I am not sure I can translate that list to DIS names correctly.

Jared and I are interested!

Count us (I mean me) in!

Dear Disney Magic Cruisers,
Barb and I are hosting the Roaming Gnome. It's quite simple we will start the Roam by placing the Gnome magnet on someone's door. Simply sign it and put your room number on it. Then put it on someone else's door who has not signed it yet. At the end of the cruise the last person will return it to the door of the room number printed on the magnet. We will take a picture of it and post it here and on Facebook so that everyone can see where the Mickey Gnome Roamed. If you want to be a part of it please let us and Lynn know as she is adding a column to her spreadsheet. We encourage everyone to use the Roster/Fe Lists to let the Gnome Roam regardless of a def "Yes" unless we get a "NO" from you.
Thanks, Christa, Barb, and Lynn
