NCAA Clearinghouse

I don't have any info the Clearing House for accelerated students but have you talked to the H.S. guidance counselor. What info are you looking for? My DS was just cleared but he is a "regular" student.

Thanks for responding, cinlee3!! :D

Yes, we are working closely with the school, but unfortunately nobody we have talked to has had experience with this type of situation.

Our boys are taking high school courses in elementary and middle school... none of which will satisfy NCAA Clearinghouse requirements because they were not taken in grades 9-12.

We are just trying to stay ahead of the game, and may ask for initial eligibility waivers for them, but I am still hoping to find someone who has dealt with this before.

Congrats to your son for getting 'cleared', and good luck to him in his college years.... athletically and otherwise!!!:bounce:

Up until a few days ago I worked for the Athletics Dept. at a college.

I would recommend taking to the NCAA Compliance Coordinator at a local university or at the school they're interested in attending. Odds are they've seen this situation before & can tell you how to handle it.

Thank you, ChibiJones, for the advice.

I will certainly do that! I had thought of contacting a University but did not know the 'title' of the person I was trying to get in touch with. Now I do!

Thanks again. :D

Glad I could help. There may be variations on the title, but the person who answers the phone should understand what you're looking for.
