NBA at Walt Disney World

Right, the only difference is these guys aren’t paying for the rooms. I think someone mentioned up thread that some were complaining about the food but the NBA provided their chefs?
The teams had their nutritionists working with the Disney chefs to ensure the meals aligned with team requirements. That's for the early meals players were receiving once they first arrived. And honestly, other than a couple louder complainers, most comments were sort of just "well, here's the food, it is what it is" posts. Which I thought was fair, given it seemed on par with airline food, at least in presentation. I'm sure it tasted better, but green salad, pasta with sauce on the side, and grilled chicken served in little compartmentalized boxes dropped at your door is only going to be so tasty.

Now that the initial period has passed, players have access to better food, including bringing in private chefs if they wish.

Most of the food posts have subsided and the newer tweets and posts have been fairly positive about the food (including one of the players who was quite happy with his Mickey waffles!).

A lot of the posts over the last few days feature the players taking advantage of the fishing opportunities!

The shoes should’ve been brought by the equipment managers. They take care of all the gear for the guys when they travel and at the clubhouses. We checked into vgf today. So much security all over and we could see them playing ping pong from the room.

Rachaun Homes breaches bubble :P ..now has to start quarantine over another 8 days..oh well, don't want possible Covid spread around WDW!::yes::

I know, but he said that he didn’t think he had another pair with him. I just thought it was funny that he’d brought all that reading material but not a backup pair of shoes just in case.

We've been enjoying these.

We fish at least once a year at WDW, but usually on a nice winter day about 75 degrees.

These guys gotta be extremely warm, but still something fun to do in the bubble.

Not sure that is the rule on Disney property.

That is the rule in the NBA bubble They have a 113-page health and protocol document that must be followed in the bubble. We already saw, players or staff that break bubble rules have to go into a TEN DAY quarantine. The players you see in these pictures have been tested for covid about 30 times over the past 2 1/2 weeks, have quarantined upon arrival at WDW and are tested and monitored on a daily basis. They also, at this point, can only mingle with players on their own teams who, again, have been tested regularly for 2 1/2 weeks and have been in quarantine. The rules for the general public in WDW do not apply in the NBA bubble. Why? Because they are not testing and quarantining the general public. You are comparing apples to oranges in this situation.
