Navigating the My Disney Experience (MDE) Web Site and App

I have 1.3.6, updated some days ago. (Correction: Looks like it was yesterday, must have been in a bunch and didn't notice)

I've noticed that if they need to rush out a bug fix that has something to do with phone support or installation issues, they'll increment the version but not change the description.
I had an update of some kind this am ( 6-26) on my android. Can't speak for ios as I haven't had ipad on.

Android or iOS? v 1.3.5 (for both android and iOS) was released on 6/19 with the same list of changes.

Apologies. I should have clarified that. It was for Android. Don't have iOS so I can't confirm that.

It would be good if they just changed the description to "Bug and performance Fixes" and remove everything else.

Except, if you missed the previous release because this one was released rapidly, you wouldn't know what else changed...

It already does...has for a long time. :)

115 minute wait at Splash Mountain right now, FP return times 5:45pm-6:45pm.

ah, i see my confusion. during our last trip i was trying to look at wait times on MDE and Disney Parks Mobile Magic app, but to no avail due to MDE not working in the park. the Mobile Magic app worked sporadically and sloooow...so i gave up altogether and used a 3rd party app. in the melee, i forgot that MDE is supposed to work.

i assume that MDE now works in the park? cause it sure wasn't in March.

also, what is point of Mobile Magic if MDE is working

I was interested to see a survey pop up today when I went to the website. I of course, took it and rated everything poor. The website is so frustrating and I avoid it at every cost!!!

I guess Disney is finally realizing that people are complaining about the website and maybe, (hopefully) are trying to figure out a way to fix it!

Also, I didn't get a chance to read the whole thread yet but if we have AP Vouchers, are we able to register them in the system somehow until we get our actual APs?

I have the same question about registering our AP vouchers.

Here's what I want to know. Is there anything I need to use this app/website for in order to go and enjoy my trip to WDW? I am so utterly confused by all of this. I'm used to just showing up to Disneyland and doing whatever we want. Lol! Do I need to put tickets on here? Can I go and have a great trip and never even look at that site?? Please help me...we leave in 2 weeks...

Helo can you go on a my Disney experience website from the uk I can't see any changes on the app

I wish there was a way to add a reservation to my account, even though it's technically under my husbands. Then I have to login to his account to see it even though he's listed as someone I travel with. I find it annoying. I wish everything could just be in one area. :confused3

I don't know if anyone has tried. I registered my voucher the old way when you still could...not sure if it possible now.

I believe the new site will allow it, as a voucher is basically like a will call order, and they will accept will call order numbers.

No idea what that will buy you yet since it's all meaningless until you are permitted to use Fastpass+.

MDE/MDX works fine* in the parks, and anywhere else, actually...it's the wi-fi in the parks that's crap. But if you're fine with using mobile data, it seems OK.

MDE/MDX replaces Mobile Magic. MM is dead.

* Fine, in the sense that "slow, painful, hard to navigate" is Fine.

Hello all you wonderful experts!!

Forgive me if this has already been answered...but can you get MDE offline? Just wondering if I can look at things when I'm stuck (EEK!) without wifi.

Thanks!

You are supposed to link your accounts together. Then you are _supposed_ to see common reservations. Doesn't seem to work all that well though...

I was never able to add my AP either. When I tried to do it manually, it kept saying it couldn't be added. I haven't tried the scanning thing yet. Hopefully that works.

Dead in the sense that they aren't updating it any more. MDX has all the info, and doesn't require you do be in the park either...

It can get a bit confusing as it seems the MDE site and APP are a work in progress.

I too am a native Disneylander (if thats even a thing :goodvibes ) and we're in the planning stages for our 3rd trip to WDW in November so this system may (may not) be in full effect by then.

As your trip is only 2 weeks away, I would suggest that you not worry about MDE as it really hold no benefit to you by linking your tickets.

You can take some time to explore the App to see if it may benefit you while you're at the parks as you may be able to use it to see wait times and such but I would take it with a grain of salt at this time...

I'm probably going to jinx myself by writing this, but here goes. Linking my husband to my account seems to work. We haven't had any issues. I had to 'invite' him, and once he accepted the invitation, he could see all of our reservations. Now he hasn't tried to do anything himself -- like make ADRs -- probably because he's frightened of the MDE app, given all my complaining.

Well, we figured out our specific problem. My wife could see our resort reservations that I made, but I couldn't see the ADRs she made. Apparently, we each need to invite the other - it isn't enough to just invite in one direction.
