I am curious about the Nature Conservancy discount. It states on the Discovery Cove website that it is only for US residents and ID is required. I am curious if it's possible for a Canadian to get this discount. Here is my plan:
1. I already have an US address
2. Purchase an American Visa Gift card to complete transaction; already tried my CDN Visa, but the DC website rejected the address.
3. Have tickets shipped to my US address.
4. Show up at DC with deeply discounted tickets and plead insanity/stupidity if they ask for ID.

How serious are they about the whole gotta have US ID thing? I tried to do this over the phone, but was rejected as well. It is going to save me $100.00!

I called to try to book that discount and then found out it was only for US residents. I was told that you do have to show ID when you arrive.

Maybe they would let it slide if you said you forgot it, maybe they would tell you to come back once you can produce the ID, I don't know. IMO, it is not worth the risk.

I booked without the discount.
