National web site problems??

We already have our car ressie for Sept through National with coupons & contract ids...Still like to check if the base rate goes down to get a better price. No matter what I put in now, it keeps telling me I can't use the coupon or I entered the wrong thing. Anyone else getting this?

I've seen a number of people mention this here and on other boards and yet I haven't had any problems. I've been rechecking our rates and using various code and coupon combos with no problem.

Maybe it's because I'm a Emerald Club member and I'm always logged in when I'm playing with it. Who knows? But I'm not having any trouble.

been having the same problem with the national online coupon...called and she said it was at capacity.....could not get it to work until december when i did additional checking...


we have EA too killeigh

what are some of the codes you are using....would like to check and see if it is just the national online code that is at capacity...

people were also posting that alamo was coming back and not allowing coupon codes....but that has been off and on during the last week...

the national website has been consistent with refusing the coupon

best we have for october using that code was 198$ all in for mid size


the pay with visa contract id ...gets a good base rate but the one free day coupon code is not accepted and expires at the end of october, the coupon gets the same error message as the national online coupon code

I booked with the AAA code as I'm a member. (It's on Mousesavers if anyone needs it.)

And the $30 off coupon that National is advertising. That coupon is NF1982JDD.

I've also tried the entertainment id and the Emerald ID with this same coupon and a few others that I don't have handy at the moment. The coupon is good until 12/15, and our dates are Nov. 25 - Dec. 2...and we're picking up at TPA.

Emerald Club member - I've had trouble all week on National and Alamo's site.

yep yep...

it is the TPA thingy....

they have not reached capcity yet


on the other hand

nationals base rate has dropped but you cannot modify

if you try to modify with the coupon already there, when you get to the second last screen Keep Original Keep Modified the dreaded this coupon cannot be used is seen


the base rate is now 179 for december

it is 184 for october, september mid month is 125$ but you cannot apply any coupons

another funny thing i found when playing around with times in december, mid afternoon base rate is 170 ....but 10 pm rate becomes 179

thus there maybe rates which differ depending on time of day

really confusing...
