My dates for April 2006 & May 2006 are down about $10.

I really don't like the new National web site. I cancelled my old reservations and wasn't able to add my free day from the emerald club to my new reservations. I had to call 1-800-car-rent to have it straighten out.

Also, does anyone know if National is charging cancellation fees. I got a warning that a cancelation fee may apply when I cancelled my old resevations.

do not know about the cancellation fees, but if you are an EC member they now have a section under Profiel Updates called

My Itineraries which shows you all your "Active Booked" reservations, which should help when you are cancelling your reservations on particular trips

I found this. This "active booked reservations" section is a big help. I am always cancelling and rebooking as rates drop. With this feature I can make sure my reservations are in order. Thanks...

I can't even access the website. For the past few days it just gives me a website not found message.

Are you using a bookmark that takes you directly to a login screen, for example for the Emerald Club? I had to change my bookmark last week, going back to the base URL (www.nationalcar.com ) rather than a bookmark that used to take me directly to the EC login page. I then navigated to the EC login and was good to go. I've replaced my bookmark with an updated one.

I'm typing in the url (www.nationalcar.com) and I'm getting nada. I do it at work and it works fine. I do it at home and I get nothing. There's something seriously wrong with their website since I know I'm not the only one with this problem.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this bit of information. I had a reservation out there ( I guess from checking different prices) that I did not even know I had and was able to cancel it
