I have been checking everyday for lower rates....

this is what I have...

Pick-up Wed. Aug11th 7PM
drop-off..Sun Aug22nd 10:30AM
National EA.

Coupon - 10009013 ( $20 off )
Contr ID - 5125601 ( AMEX )

Total Estimate...$303.00

Is there any other codes I can / or could use that would be cheaper. I have checked a few and the lowest I got was $247.00...but that was counter service.

We would prefer to not use the counter service.

Thanks a bunch...( if you tell me that is the cheapest...then I know to stop searching. )

I cannot get lower than that. If you can save the money by going to the counter, although I am not clear why you would need to, I would go for it.

Thanks for checking Gail. I know $60 is $60. ( the amount I would be saving by going to the counter.)

But the mere fact of just going to the aisle and getting our car after a day of travel and anticipation is the only reason why we prefer to stay with the EA.

Sometimes when I have reserved on EA , I have been pushed to counter, even when I had started with EA. I clear my cookies and internet files, exit out and come back in and re-input the codes. It takes a few times but I have always been able to get EA. The only time when you should be pushed to the counter is when you have an upgrade coupon. National's system is poor at best. It sends a lot of cookies.

For the 60.00 savings, I would go to the counter. You will have to wait in line (in the car) when you leave the garage and sometimes the attendants are slower than death. This is sort of 6 of one half a dozen of another.

sometimes they do go down closer to your trip, you need to keep on checking.

That has happened to me a number of times, I simply go to the "level of service" button and reset it to the one I want.
Most websites send cookies constantly. You can set your browser to NOT update the site each time you access it.

Not sure, I have never been asked, even though I am a member, but, the website is open to anyone that looks, so, my assumption is anyone can use them.

I have yet to have any rate come close to what I can get myself using the various codes I find on www.mousesavers.com and the orgs. I belong to. Those prices, while attractive, do not include taxes and fees.
