National Lampoon's Fun w/Dis Friends 2010!! ~ DAY 7-Final :( 6/27

We were also there from Feb 6-13th. I wish our trip down was uneventful. we almost did not make it due to all the snow in the ohio area. My brother and his family were supposed to fly out of Pittsburg on the 6th and thurs night their flight down was canceled. I got them on our flight out of Columbus, Ohio on the 6th. We were all going down the 5th to spend the night in Columbus and then fly out on early on the 6th. We both had just gotten into our vehicles to go to Columbus early on the 5th when southwest called to tell us our flights were cancelled for the 6th. Long story short...we ended up getting flights out of Detriot on Delta for late the 5th into Tampa and we ended up renting a van in Tampa and drove to ORlando on the 6th. We made it but barely! And it was soo cold the whole time. There was a lot we did not get to do in the MK even with 2 full days there but we just could not go to the EMH because it was too cold on Sunday night and it was way too cold Thursday morning for two kids under 3.

Congrats on DVC! I too want to make the purchase in a couple of years but I know I cannot get DH to go more than every 3 years so I do not want to buy a whole lot of points. Course this trip with a one year old and DH having to carry him all the time and it being so cold was not the Disney wake up call i wanted for him. Was the price difference enough to go through disney instead of resale? I have been looking a lot at the resales so I can decide where i want to be and I think in a couple of years BLT will be good for us. BUt who knows...a lot could change by then! LOL!

Can;t wait to see what someone else was doing at WDW the same time we were there!

We will see, he's being a good sport about trying the samples but he definitely likes the stuff that still has rice and oats in it over the full grain free and I really need him to have a weight management version so I think we will go with one that is wheat and soy free and hopefully that will take care of it. Funny thing is it is $10 less a bag than what I was buying! Go figure. Guess he isn't as picky as I thought or he realizes that food was hurting him. Vet said it will take 6-8 weeks to see if fur is growing back

I need to get Jeff on a DVC tour this summer! We are on the every 2 year plan so I think 150 points would work for us and is doable...next year I hope!

Hope it all works out and he gets all his fur back.

You should get him to go on a tour. For some reason I guess my DH just needed the visual. Doing the tour also got us a $100 gift card.

I'd LOVE for our family to be DVC memebers...but it most likely won't happen for another 3-5 years (too much debt to get paid off first).

I hear ya about the debt. Once we got ours paid off, we've been very careful to never let it build back up again.

Oh wow!! So we could have crossed paths many times and not even realize it! I agree, it was super cold!!! We are sort of glad that we won't be doing February trips much anymore. This is the 2nd year in a row where it was freezing!

The incentives that Disney has right now made it a better choice than going resale. Plus, you get your points immediately, where as if you do resale you have to wait until closing....however long that takes. We would have done it if it was the better deal, though.

Hi again Blue !!! I will definately tell you all about the interview !!! I have been talking to these people for a couple of years as I send a couple of my consumers on vacations with them !! I really should have brought the book with me so you could see all the wonderful trips they offer !!! Several are Disney and also a Disney Cruise !!!!! All I have to do is get vacation from work , which wont be hard as my BOSS wants to do it too and with me !!! I will need spending money and that will be it as far as I know !!!It may be the next best thing to DVC!!!!

I forgot to mention about the way disney handles food illnesses. Both of my cousins daughters have celiac disease and she said disney was awesome at accomdating the girls when they were there in december.

yeah my husband says we are not going again in Feb! LOL! We are thinking Oct sometime especially when the food and wine festival is going on!

I KNEW THERE WAS PEOPLE ON HERE GOING IN JUNE!!!!!! Everything has just been so crazy I couldn't remember who's PTR's I had read it on. That's awesome!! We are going to book June 13-19! So we will be there the same time as your family and Fauntleroy's family. Oh I wish we could do the Yehaa Bob Jackson show with you guys. But our arrival day is the 13th. We've wanted to catch this show ever since we caught the last 2 minutes of it on our last night at POR in 2008.

That is great! Are you planning to be at AKL the 13-19th? We'll be at Coronado Springs until Wednesday the 16th, then switching to Kidani for the rest of the trip. We definitely need to meet up.

The table services were definitely not as crazy as the counter service.

Yes, we will be there for the entire trip. I'm going to request Kidani too. I'm calling my guide tomorrow. He said he will assist me in getting in since it's sort of short notice. A one time perk kind of thing. Then I also need to bank the rest of those extra points. We will be stretching our extra years points over this trip and one next year too. We are hoping next year some family will come with us and we may get a 2 bedroom at OKW. If no one comes with us then we will see if we have enough points left to try out the Beach Club. I am LOVING the extra points thing. By 2012 I will have been spoiled and we will be back to our regular 160. Not sure what to do then.

I've been reading your PTR but can't remember if I've ever even posted on it. If not......SORRY!! I love the stuff your wife sells. I have these pitchers that have sort of a plunger thing in the middle to mix things up with. They are some of my favorites!!

While we are going to get tickets to the parks and go a little, I'm glad we had the trip in Feb so that we can do just what you said on the trip in June! I'm ready to relax and really check out everything they have to offer there at the resort.

we stayed at a studio at the beach club this trip! Loved it! thats why I think we need to buy DVC...it will make the deluxe's more affordable and you can;t go wrong with the extra space (well when staying in a one bedroom or more) unfortunately the studio is not any bigger than a regular room but it did have the little kitchenette that we hardly used...LOL! and the drawer space was pittiful. we used 2 drawers of DS's clothes and he is 16 mos old...so we could fit all of his clothes but we knew not much of ours would fit in there! Hopefully the other bigger villas have more space! DH and I had to live out of oursuitcases and then keep them zipped so DS did not throw clothes all over the place!

You'll be so spoiled, you'll have to add-on. I'm sure that has occurred to the folks at DVC. I'm jealous of your extra points though. We have 200 and still had to borrow some from this year's allotment for last year's trip. This year we won't be at Kidani too long, so that will help replenish the points.

Good luck on getting the reservation you want. Those guides can pull some strings.

I know the pitchers you're talking about -- they're called quick-stir pitchers. They just came out with new ones with a better plunger. (DW just had an open house today to introduce new products. )
