I have not rented from National for quite a while because I have been getting better rates for Alamo. It looks like National will be cheaper for my upcoming trip. My reservation is Emerald Reserve. Please bring me up-to-speed: Do I just print my e-mail confirmation at home, go to the lot and pick my car and then bring my confirmation, license and credit card to the check-out lane? Or would it be faster to use the Alamo/National kiosk before going to the lot?

I don't want to hijack your post but when someone answers the OP's questions, could someone explain the difference between Emerald Reserve and Emerald Aisle?

If you are an Emerald Club member, have your cc attached to your profile, and book an intermediate size, your Level of Service will be Emerald Aisle, and you proceed to the garage and pick out any car in the Emerald Aisle. You show your DL, hang tag from the car, your CC to the booth and you are ready to check out.
If you log on as an Emerald Club member and reserve any other type of car, your Level of Service will be Emerald Reserve, you still walk out to the garage and pick out your car, but you can only go to the row type of car that your reserved, example: compact, full size, SUV, etc. You drive to the booth, show your DL, hang tag from the car, your cc and any paper coupons if applicable and you are ready to go.

Note if you book a vehicle like Premium or Luxury, you can always downgrade if there is a vehicle in Emerald Aisle as well.
