national Emerald Club - adding spouse to reservation

I just made a car rental reservation through National. I am an Emerald Club member. I booked Emerald Reserve - part of the attraction for us is that we can just pick up our car and go. However - I want DH to also be able to drive the car. 1) is there a fee for spouses? 2) do we have to go to the National Counter to add him, or can I do that at the booth when we are driving out of the lot?

Spouses of Emerald Club members are free. I don't even add my DH to the car. He just drives it.

Authorized Drivers

Free (in the United States and Canada) - An Emerald Club members' spouse, immediate family member living with him/her, business partner, employer, or fellow associate who has an assigned corporate contract with National and drives the car for business purposes. All other additional authorized driver situations are subject to a daily charge.

Ask at the booth if they want both of your DL's so they have them both on file. The attendant will tell you if they need them both.
