I have a test for all of you National Car renter experts. I am an Emerald Club member, but when I go in on-line, I'm getting the same price for a 2 door economy as for the intermediate (about $175) - no discounts on anything. I'm so confused about where to put the codes for coupons and contract numbers and in what combination, I'm at my wit's end. Here is my information:

I am an annual passholder
I am a member of the Disney Club (recently joined)
I am an Emerald Club member (joined during last year's free registration)
I also have various coupons from an Entertainment book for free days, upgrades, etc.

If someone would be so kind as to e-mail me (carolyn22@rica.net) what codes I should put where for the best price, I would be ever so grateful! I need a car for August 11th to the 17th, and economy is fine with me. I know that we're not supposed to share codes on this board which is why I'm asking you to e-mail me directly.

Thanks for your help - you guys are great!

Actually, all the codes you need are on the Disney Club website. There is a "contract number" which I think gives you 10% off the top and a "coupon number" good for a free day or something like that. Anyway, when you make your ressie online, there are slots for each of these numbers, use both and get 2 discounts.

You should be able to request a Full size for the same price as Intermediate when you go in to National with your EA membership.

Then like the previous posters said plug in the Coupon # where it says to and then the Disney Club Contract number where it says to.

The base rate right now with no taxes or discounts for September is about $130 and for November/December is $146. That should help you see if you are getting the right rates.

I'm going Nov 29 for 10 days and my TOTAL with taxes, with Disney Club 'Contract' discount and a Mileage Plus coupon for $20 off is $211.

Good luck!

izzy, on the Entertainment Card coupons there is a list. One of the items says Contract ID# and one of the items says Coupon ID#. These codes go in the corresponding spaces on the reservation form on National's website. These spaces are on the right hand side of the screen a little below where you choose the type of car. Just type in the numbers, no pound sign or anything. When you click on get a Quote you should see the base price listed and then a little lower on the screen is the amount of discount you should get.

Different clubs or affiliations have different contract ID's. The Disney Club will have a different contract code than the Entertainment book. As long as you are a member of the club you should be fine. You can also mix and match codes and coupons. In other words you can use the Disney Club code with an Entertainment coupon.

Hope this helps.
