Is DAS allowed for things other than waiting in line?

I have a friend who struggles with severe anxiety when in enclosed spaces. She is fine with waiting in line; it's the enclosed, dark, pre-show rooms (like at RnRC, or the Stretching room at HM) that will trigger a full-blown anxiety/panic attack. Would Disney consider this a qualifying disability and assign her a DAS, so she can bypass the pre-show areas (like, enter from the gift shop ar RnRC, or the back entrance to HM)

I don't think that would qualify for a DAS especially since DAS often does not skip the pre show.

They'd probably advise her to speak the CM's at the specific attractions to see about skipping only the pre show.
They will likely direct her tohold off to the side until the pre show is over and then allow her to walk straight through as the pre show is ending and guests are exiting through the next door.

But if she wants to check to see if she does qualify for DAS there's no harm in doing so.

During our DAS interview, the cast member did tell us that it is possible to bypass the preshow rooms. The Stretching room was mentioned specifically. So I think you could definitely ask cast members about that answer see what options they have available for her.

I hope your friend has a great time.

This does not sound like a DAS need (in terms of skipping certain pre-shows). This would be ride specific, and they should talk to the cast members when they get there. My son hates the pre-show for Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway because of the explosion at the end and smoke that comes out. So we ask to skip this, and cast members are typically very accommodating. Only once in about 7 asks, did they recommend we just keep in the very back and have him pointed away from the smoke when it starts.
