Although I never posted I followed Nate's story. He has touched more people in his short time then anyone cam imagine. May that knowlege take you far and know his memory lives on with many many people!

I am so sorry for your loss. At this time of year the sadness must be very hard to take. I found this poem and hope it might bring you some peace. God bless your family.

I see the countless Christmas Trees around the world below,
with tiny lights, like heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear,
for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear,but
the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,
for it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me. I see the pain inside your heart,
but I am not so far away. We really aren't apart. So be happy for me dear ones. You know I hold you dear,
and be glad I'm spending Christmas, with Jesus Christ this year.
I send you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above.
I send you each a memory, of my undying love.
After all "Love" is the gift, more precious than pure gold.
It was always most import in the stories Jesus told.

for I can't count the blessing or love he has for each of you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Nate will be in our prayers tonight at midnight mass, and all through Christmas day. At least we now know that Nate is dancing with the angels in heaven. He was an inspiration to us all, and we love him, just as much as everyone here at the DIS loves him.

Safely Home

I am home in heaven, dear ones;

Words cannot begin to express the sadness that I felt today when I read this--came home and told my daughter and she was saddened also. How wonderful for Nathan that he is in a better place than all of us but how sad for his family to have to deal with the loss of this beautiful child. I am just amazed that a precious child as Nate could touch so many lives...I've never met him but feel like I knew him in my heart. May we all learn a lesson from Nate...he touched so many lives in his short span on earth...imagine what we could all accomplish.....peace on earth during this holiday season....one person doing one nice thing for someone else without expecting anything in return...but then getting repaid ten times over with the good feeling in your heart.

God Bless Nate and please Nate, say prayers for all of us here on earth. We truly came to love both you and your family.
