My name is Natasha, I started my new diet about two weeks ago. I am 5'9" My starting weight was 294lbs. I am now 281.5lbs my goal weight is about 160lbs. I know it is a lot to loose but I am going to be patient and try my hardest. A little history about me: when I was in highschool I was very athletic, and I was in gymnastic and I was about 130lbs and very fit, but I had very low self esteem and I wasnt part of the "in" crowd and going to the tiny private school that I did I ended up being the topic of most of their jokes. After highschool I went to college away from home and lived quite away from my family, and my family wasnt rich by any means, so I didnt have a car and I walked EVERYWHERE. I would walk miles to go see a movie, I would walk to school, to the grocery store, etc. So I continued to stay thin, but I still kind of held on to that low self esteem. Then I met my husband, he had a car and would start to drive my around and we moved in together and I would use his car. I pretty much got lazy and my weight just kept creeping up and it seems like no time at all that I got to the way I am now until recently I kept wanting to loose weight and to diet but I was too "busy" but then at work some employees decided that they were going to start a Biggest Looser contest and at first I wasnt going to do it but I decided what the heck! So that was 2 weeks ago. Im not doing this diet just to win, I am really doing this to get healthy and start exercising more. So what I have been doing is:

Week 1: I started eating healthier for breakfast I eat a bowl of oatmeal. For a snack some of the 100 cal. yougurt, For lunch some salad and a couple of slices of turkey, and maybe an apple for break and something sensible for dinner.

Week 2: Pretty much they same as above, but I started working out, and boy am I sore! Who would have thought that after 4 years I would feel so out of shape!

Anyways thats all for today, I hope to make some new W.I.S.H buddies. TTFN!

Hi Natasha!

I just started Weight Watchers almost 2 weeks ago. I had my first weigh in this past Monday and lost 4 pounds so far. I need to lose around 75-80 total but I'm setting small goals and my first one is 20 pounds.

I recently started walking on my treadmill. The same treadmill that I've had for a year but never used until now. I'm walking a little over a mile on it 5-6 days a week. Not a record but a good start.

Hope this has been a good week for you :)

Hi,
Welcome to wish! Your weight loss might sounds like alot but I'm sure you'll do well. I've been losing for the past six years. I was over weight child but when I became teenager my family didn't have car either and I lost alot of weight but once I got a car I became overweight again quickly...and stress do to not being able to have children I gain even more. Once I decided to teach myself healthy eating I started loosing...and now I have 2 beautiful dd's! Best of luck ... keep up the good work!

Hello :) I just posted my new journal today as well. Hopefully together we can help eachother reach our weightloss goals. I see in your signature that you have a baby girl. How old? I have a 4 month old son...he's part of the reason for the weight gain haha. Good luck to you & I'm subscribing so that I can see how you are doing along the way.

Becky

Thanks for all the support everyon! acutally Baby Girl is my dog :rotfl: but she has been helping me with my weightloss in a way.. she sure loves to go on long walks!

Haha...that's funny. Sorry :) I guess I would not have seen a picture of a bouncing dog if it was your daughter. It's a Friday afternoon & I'm kind of slow at the moment. Have a great weekend!!
