Because criminals are real in fact people that are misunderstood by society and need to relax at home. Thanks to the left government.
If a convict murder gets a child when he is in prison or one of his relatives gets sick he just gets a few months of vacation from jail.
Guess who's never coming back.
I think we are the only country in the world that has thousands of convicted crooks running around free,committing other crimes, but we rent out the space in jail to other countries.
Have you ever heard of a government that gives public money to a group that tries to start a political party that favors for pedophilia and sex with children? We do. Just look it up and Google Stichting Martijn.

Not sure what state you are in but in PA and NJ convicted first and 2nd degree murderers do not get to go home on sick leave or because of a kid.

I know at times our justice system seems to let some evil people out and it's hard to keep from getting discouraged when every night on the news you hear about horrible crimes (some times it's good to disengage) but we really do have one of the best justice systems around.

Is it perfect? no and there are times when I could have gladly "pulled the plug" but it's a good system.

And since he loves the attention that the Natalie story gave him, I am quite sure he wanted everyone to know he is Joran Van der sloot. Just like Drew Peterson here in the States who may have killed 2 of his wives, but loves for everyone to know who he is, the infamy of it all. And the stupid women who just want to date Drew Peterson.

21 year old girls(and guys) do stupid things like that every day. Luckily most of them don't get murdered or even hurt. I'll admit to doing something really, really, really stupid when I was 19 and in Aruba. I was lucky to not end up like poor Natalee. When you're 19, you think you're immortal..add alcohol and:scared1

While I agree with you about our justice system being one of the best, I think we have a lot of room for improvement. I watch, "On the Case", with Paula Zaun, (and other true crime shows) and some of the mistakes and yes, cover ups are staggering. But by and large justice does get served. Some cases take longer than others.

I think Disneyadore, is in Amsterdam. Totally different system. Sounds horrendous.

Horrible as it may sound...it makes my heart sing a bit knowing that he's running scared right now...he KNOWS his days are coming to a close...just having to anticipate that moment of someone catching him has to be hell. Watching your back on every corner...eyes darting side to side in fear. That kind of life has to be hell...

If I was in Beth Halloway's shoes...in the back of my mind I'd be thinking that somehow Natalie has somehow had her place in all of this. Sad that it had to happen to another girl to end this nightmare.

However, I'm a firm believer that we all will answer to the big man upstairs...his days were numbered anyway.

Disneyadore, my apologies. I'm not familar with other justice systems but I do encourage all of us to try and look at the entire picture. I readily agree that Joran is a pyscho but we had a very similar injustice with OJ (yep, I think he murdered Nicole and her friend).
One of my pet peeves is that our murderers get cable tv. In the grand scheme of things, it's probably very minor but for some reason it just galls me.
Let's hope the Chilean agencies have every thing well in hand.

All along I have suspected that he was involved with the death of Natalie, but not quite sure of the circumstances since there was so little evidence available - and no "body"..

However, if he actually killed this new woman - and there is strong evidence to back it up - then it would make me more likely to believe that not only was he involved in Natalie's death, but that it wasn't "accidental"..(

PRAISE THE LORD! i've never, in my life, prayed for someone to be arrested, but i can't count the prayers i've said over the past 24 hours asking God to please let this monster be arrested, so that at least stephany flores can get justice. we may never have justice for natalee, but at least we have a chance this time, and i pray there's never a next time.
