Isnt this also the guy that also has said he sold Natalee into sex slavery?
Thats a rumor that keeps making the rounds.

He probably said that to torture Natalee's mom, so that she'd think she is still alive, and then he could set up the extortion, which he did (allegedly) try, according to the FBI.

How would he just happen to have access & contacts to slave traders, before meeting Natalee? It's not like you can dial 411 on a cell phone on the beach to find them and say, "I just happened to have met a woman. I've lured her to the beach, come pick her up." Was he ever in Thailand before meeting Natalee? Or did those ideas come up since all the investigations? He obviously liked being in all the spotlight. He though he could get away with it all, since his dad was covering for him.

I said earlier, he's not the brightest bulb. He has been leaving a very tracable trail in this last crime and in doing a traceable wire transfer. If he had been in slave trading before, and he was in his early 20's(?) back then, I would think he'd leave very traceable clues then, too. Plus, his dad would have had to be covering and cleaning up after him then, too. So his dad would have been involved in that business.

Being ill-mannered, classless & arrogant, and having mommy & daddy cleaning up one's messes, is a far cry from being in slave trading. Three quarters of the rich, arrogant & pampered in Beverly Hills and South Hampton, NY would then fall into that category.

I'm not saying Joran isn't doing that. He just is coming off incredibly more stupid than one would think possible, as facts come out. Slave trading, unfortunately, is a hugely successful business, which means it requites quite a bit of intelligence and finesse to pull off and get away without being traced & caught. If you compare how tracable Joran was in the Peruvian murder and the extortion, he doesn't seem to have finesse, pre-planning abilities or much intelligence.

FBI profiles work because criminals leave the same pattern over and over.

I added more to my post above. Aren't those rumors too? He hasn't been charged with any of those crimes. Are there warrants out in those countries too? If Malaysia is able to file charges and make them stick, I hope they also put in a bid for extradition so he can stand trial & be put away in their country. I just checked, they are a member of Interpol. From what little I've heard, Malaysian prisons are far worse than what a Peruvian or U.S. prison could do to Joran. I'd say, Peru & U.S., turn him over!

If you follow the Holloway case - I thought Beth and her husband divorced? I heard she was dating John Ramsey at one point - but Judd (Natalee's step-dad) was on the morning show on CBS this morning?

Interestingly, they asked if Joran is imprisoned for the new (est) murder, would that "be enough" for the family... Judd said, NO, it would not be enough - they want to know what happened to Natalee, and want to bring her home.

That's what I mean, Joran doesn't have the intelligence to carry off slave trading on his own, or even with his father, back then. And what people are saying is, his father, who was an Aruban JUDGE, would go from the justice system to becoming a slave trader.

In the 3 months since his dad died, Joran has gone from openly cavorting in Malaysia, supposedly with sex-slave traders, (like they wouldn't hide themselves?) to traceable wire fraud extortion, and now to a brutal murder in a hotel room in his name.

ABC News confirmed he is definitely in Peru now!
They showed him getting out of a police van with a bulletproof vest on.
I wonder if that was more for the police's protection than van der Sloot's. If someone tried to take a shot at him and missed, a good cop could have been shot instead that piece of garbage.

I am curious....The driver that took him from the town south of Lima to the Chilean border said he had 2 suitcases with him and kept taking out his laptop and typing on it. What was he typing? Was he emailing someone? Making notes? And...when they found him, did he still have the 2 suitcases and laptop? Anyone hear any info on this Also wondering why it took so long for housekeeping to find her. Did this hotel not have daily maid service? I know they said it is a simple hotel with no frills.....

I don't know about the suitcase stuff, but at some hotels, if you leave the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door knob. The maid won't enter the room, even to clean.

It might not have been until she could smell the stench of a reeking dead body out in the hallway, that she realized they need to go in there.

The housekeeping service people said that he had left a specific message at the hotel to "NOT GO INTO HIS ROOM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES". He stated he did NOT want it cleaned, nor did he want anyone in there.

Also, her father was reported last night as stating that she had skin under her fingernails and there was definitely a clear struggle. He said that from what investigators have stated there is MORE than enough evidence to convict.
