Has anyone done a shore excursion, or just went on shore with a toddler. What did you do, and how did it work out.

My dd was 22 months old on our first cruise in November. We had a group of 9pp and in Nassau we took a cab for $5/each (didn't pay for the 2 little ones) to Cable Beach. We used the beach at one of the hotels (name escapes me now, but there's a recent thread about this). It was very nice with a great pool, bar, etc. DD loved the ocean and the pool and it was a great day. With the little ones, it's hard to find excursions so this was a good solution. The hotel "rented " towels for $5/each so they clearly knew that cruisers were using their beach and were fine with it.

When DS was 9 months, we loaded him into a backpack and did the Garden/city tour. But, he was much younger. Your toddler may enjoy that as well because there are a few zoo animals and a flamingo show. The tour does require some walking when doing the history, etc. in addition to walking around the Gardens, but don't have to do it.

Just a thought :D

I did the Atlantis tour with my 1 1/2 yo daughter. My daughter was fine, thank god we had a stroller!! It is a lot of walking, your child will be able to see a lot of different fish. I believe the tour was 45 minutes long. She did like it, but got a little antsy towards the end of the tour.
I personally thought the tour a bit boring. I've done the living seas at Epcot and didn't think it was much different. My husband on the other hand enjoyed it.
Hope i've helped :teeth: Kristy
