Nassau ~ want to beach and shop???!!

Ok - are there excursions that leave later in the day? We would like to go to the beach mainly but also to shop a little....maybe the straw market (although what I remember of this from my youth it was a nightmare) or a city tour.....how can we work it all in? Maybe the gardens too?

I have been to Nassau and could care less about going back but DH has never been.....

We've been there twice and have accomplished both beaching and shopping each time.
However, we did a beach excursion first thing in the morning and when the kids were ready to go back in mid afternoon (1-2PM) that's when the ladies went to the straw market. You can get back my then if you do the Blue Lagoon beach or the Atlantis Beach excursions.

Do the Blue Lagoon Beach Day excursion and then take the 2:00 ferry back. The ferry lets off right at the straw market and you can walk further into town from there or head back to the ships.
