Nassau / Castaway Cay / Sprint

DISCLAIMER : This thread will not be interesting for those who like to be "completely disconnected " on their cruise.

I am sending this thread while sitting on a lounge on Castaway Cay. I have excellent, free Sprint 2G service and texting here and in Nassau. Just for anyone who's interested. If you have Sprint, read on their website about how to connect for free, nothing special to do, and I'm not using any extra data besides what I normally do.

Wow! You are sitting on the beach at Castaway Cay, right now! I'm so envious! Thanks for sharing, and thank for the info on Sprint's network. I suppose 2G is too limited for you to snap a picture of the view and send that to us too?

We also have Sprint. I never tried to use it on CC - I didn't think it would work. I did some texting/picture sending from our balcony while in Nassau, and that was it. No additional charges. I didn't want to try and read emails or go online...

It's the entire Bahamas, so I gave it a try. At first I didn't understand the roaming situation, but when it prompted me on what to do, it worked!
