I got my pin and donated the $5.00 to Victory Junction but since I don't work :smooth: I'm not wearing something of my favorite driver. How many of you participated in the First ever NASCAR Day?

Approximately 200,000 people across the country are participating in the inaugural NASCAR Day. President George W. Bush has sent the following letter saluting everyone who is taking part:

I send greetings to all those participating in the inaugural NASCAR Day. The true strength of America lies in the hearts and souls of our citizens. This year's NASCAR Day is an opportunity for drivers, crews, officials, and fans to help enrich the lives of children at Victory Junction Gang Camp. These selfless acts of kindness make the world a better place and reflect the great compassion of our Nation.

As you celebrate this special occasion, I encourage all Americans to volunteer and support worthy causes. By answering the call to serve, you contribute to the culture of citizenship and responsibility in America.

Laura joins me in sending our best wishes. May God bless you, and may God continue to bless America.

George W. Bush

Congrats to this week's winner - Shoes99 - Nice job!!

Congrats to Greg Biffle - a Roush-Ka-teer (you'll did catch that when Benny gave them that nickname today right?) Nice job by Carl Edwards finishing 10th in his first cup race ever. Roush had 5 drivers in the top 10 - a nice payday for Roush racing.

So, interesting race huh? Felt bad for Johnson, not sure what's going on there...Sadler - he was running so well and that darn tire had to blow....and Rusty...same problem as Johnson just a whole lot later in the race. Was really hoping that Martin would get the win so he and his team chief could thumb their noses at NASCAR and that penalty call. Jeff Burton finished pretty good (12th) in the 30 AOL car for RCR - better than his new teammates anyway :) Hope this is the only week that Roush drivers have the Justice League paint scheme - don't need them doing that well every week. So Kasey Kahne knocks his teammate out of the top ten, Newman drops another spot to 13th in the points standing and Bobby Labonte is holding on by a slim thread. The next 3 races should be exciting.

Here's how we all did - congrats again to Shoes99 ;)
