Nascar Cafe

Hi,

This will be my first trip to Florida. I have a dumb question. We aren't sure if we'll be able to squeeze in a day at Universal but I wanted to know if you can access the Nascar Cafe without having to buy a ticket first?

Yes you can, it is in Citywalk not one of the parks, the only cost is for parking before 6pm.

Thanks so much!! Can you make reservations or do you just have to wait for the first available table? We will have a party of 9 so we are hoping to make reservations before going.

I believe you can make reservations, but I am not positive on that. I have never seen it too crowded so it shouldn't be a problem. I would call first and ask about the reservations though, just to be safe.

Thanks again for your help!! My husband and I are huge Nascar fans and have never been to any of the Cafes! Last year we went to TN and planned on eating at the one in Nashville but it had been closed down. So hopefully this will work out and we'll get to go to the one at Universal!!

There is also a restaurant called Race Rock, located on International Drive. You can see the back of it from I-4, there are Nascar's on the roof and usual a Bigfootin the parking lot. It has also sorts of racing machines in it in a circular building. Sit down dining, games and souvieners. We always stop at both places.

I'm sure they'll welcome 9 people. The bar isn't very crowded in the afternoon. You can even eat at the bar if you want, I saw people doing that as I tested the happy hour prices. There is a race car over the bar, with game machines all around. The race car is a shell, with no engine, but has tires, and some suspension parts, so it's neat to look at.
Domestic drafts are $2.50 (Bud, Bud light, Miller, Miller light).
Import drafts are $3.50 (Heinekin, Killians, a few others).
This special runs all the time, there is no happy hour, the special is on the beer.
The bar area is a little bit noisy with the games being played, but it's a fun place to hang out. You could probably slam a few beers at the bar, then go upstairs to a table.

Also thanks for your reply as well!! I did e-mail Nascar Cafe from their website and have already received a reply. I will be making reservations with them!
