NASA day trip - breakfast stop?

Hi we are travelling to Orlando from New Zealand in 6 weeks and will be hiring a rental car for 2 nights so we can drive out to Kennedy Space Centre for a day trip.
Are there any recommendations for a good breakfast stop on the way that would suit a family with 2 kids (6 and 9)?

Any other tips for the drive for someone unfamiliar with the area?

Where in Orlando are you staying? Are you looking for a place closer to Orlando or closer to Kennedy Space Center?

We're staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. Probably looking for somewhere closer to Orlando, but open to ideas!

Either have your breakfast at the Resort OR Drive to Hwy 192 ..... Animal Kingdom End via Sherberth Road

At the junction of 192 there are a few eating places Golden Corral is one And Cracker Barell is another Both on Left side as

you turn Right onto Hwy 192.

After Breakfast keep on Hwy 192 going West ... after 3 miles Join The Toll Rd going LEFT ( Before going UNDER Bridge )

This will take you to Hwy I-4 going East towards Disney & Orlando MCO airport

TAKE EXIT RIGHT for Both Airports & K.Space Center

Follow Toll Road ( Cash lanes with change ) PAST MCO turn off & Follow K.S.C Signs & CoCoa Beach
