so picked narcossee for my signature dining, thanks to everyone for suggestions in earlier post.

It's our honeymoon trip

just saw menu. is anyting off limits? saw on allears.net that there are 2 surf and turf options more than $60 for 1 entree. Are those allowed on the dining plan?

anyone know what current menu looks like?

thanks!

Yes we were just there. You can have filet or ribeye(I think) and lobster or shallops. They also have a surf and surf option. Only thing off limits was the crab legs can not be added as an option and included in the price, additional charge will apply. Have a great honeymoon!

Narcoossees is a fab choice! We have dined there twice, the latest being this past April, with upcoming reservations in March of 2014. The menu is awesome, isn't it?!?! I have never had bad food or service here. Everything has been top notch. Make sure to stick around for "Wishes", for it can be viewed from the deck.
29 trips to Disney World and counting...next stop POFQ march 2014:jester:

i was actually wanting to see wishes -- is the deck near the beach? what's the best locations around there? i remember reading somewhere about beach and music is pipped in. Please do tell. Never been to grand floridan except passing through from monorail.

The deck wraps around the restaurant. It can only be used by dinner guests dining at the time of Wishes, so plan accordingly. I don't believe they have a return policy like CG.

i have a 6:10 reservation with 8pm wishes that night. the only other option was 745pm that night. what would u sugesstion is better. i'm not one to leave my table/food to view fireworks and then come back i rather be done my meal and go to deck and observe.

We just ate a Narcoosees last week. Nothing is off limits. I had the lobster and my mom got the scallops and we split. Both were good but, good grief those scallops were amazing!

ETA-we didn't have to get up from the table to view the fireworks...nobody was outside watching! : )

Take the 7:45 reservation. When you arrive, they'll likely tell you that your table is delayed waiting for people to leave after Wishes, and suggest you join the group on the veranda/boardwalk outside the restaurant to view it too.

The beach option is over at the Polynesian. It's a 15 minute walk along the shore to get to the main poly beach which has the music piped in.

I've eaten at Narcoossee's several times during Wishes. There is a deck (veranda) that wraps around the restaurant. They do pipe in the music and dim the lights. Lots of people watch from the deck, so do not expect to watch the show from your table. However, the Narcoossee's staff is very accommodating and know that most guests will want to watch the show. They are fine with folks going out to the veranda to watch the show and then coming back in to finish their meal. It's helpful to tell your server so that they can help you pace your meal.

If you're set against going outside to watch, a three course meal at any Signature tends to take between 90 and 120 minutes. So, if you want to be finished before Wishes starts at 8:00 pm, you should probably aim for the 6:00 pm ADR. If you have the 7:45 pm ADR, you might be at your table by the time the show starts.

As others have said, there are several places where you can watch the fireworks. The veranda or dock at the GF (essentially the same view) are both good options. You can also take the boat over to Poly and watch from the beach, but there is construction which may or may not get in the way. If you're going to the Poly, I'd allow about 30 minutes for travel (in case you just miss the boat).

The GF view is closer, but off to the left. The Poly is straight on, but further away.

We've eaten there last year in October and it was awesome! We were let down by the food that time (fettuccine was bland and the scallops were tasteless, however we're going again next week and will be giving them a second chance, steak and fish choices).

We got seated around 7:45 and our server made us aware of the fireworks and viewing, we didn't even think to see the fireworks when making the ADR. He held offered to take our order and hold off on entering it in until a certain length into the fireworks, but would bring our drinks out right away. However he timed it was perfect, we came back from the deck (where the firework park music is played right there above you and the view was awesome across the water) and the appetizers just hit the table, fresh and hot (not heat lamp hot either, the plate was room temp but the food was hot, so our server was spot on with the ordering).

All of the entrees are included. Members in our group usually order the lobster or the lobster and steak entree every time we dine at Narcoosee's.

Here's a link to a menu dated 11/13. The items listed as "Side Dishes" are called "Enhancements" on the Narcoossee's menu and are not included in the DDP. There is a statement to this effect at the end of the list of enhancement items on the actual menu.

Not all the tables in the restaurant have a view of the fireworks. And often, there will be guests standing on the deck so your view (if you are at a window table) may be blocked.

If you want to go outside after fininshing your dinner, you'll want the 6:10 reservation.

On the other hand, with a 7:45 res you might not be seated before fireworks or quite possibly you'll have a table without a view since those with window tables will probably stay.

If it looks like you won't be seated before the fireworks, let the CM at the podium know you want to go outside to see Wishes and ask to be seated afterwards. On the other hand, if you're seated at 7:45, you can order, but let your server know you want to watch Wishes and ask for the food to be served after it ends. The servers are all very good about planning around the fireworks.

Narcoossee's is one of our favorite restaurants. The food has always been excellent. The crab cakes are delicious and the Almond Crusted Cheesecake is my favorite DW dessert. The service is equally outstanding with knowledgeable and friendly servers.

We have a 7:50 reservation and Wishes is at 9. Should be be able to get a window seat for fireworks? What is the dress code here ? We are going for our 22nd. Wedding Anniversary January 2nd!

In the past, Narcoossee's has accepted request for window tables, but they will not guarantee you'll get one in time for fireworks. It's hard to say how things will go on your specific night because it all depends on the parties that are seated before you. The best you can do is ask how long the wait would be when you get there and then decide if you're okay with it. And remember, guests out on the veranda will often end up blocking the view of those seated at the window tables, so you may end up having to head out to the veranda anyway.
