Narcoossee's - can't book as 1?

I'm playing with the dining site in prep for my 180+10 on Monday (can't see my dates, of course, but can play with the week before). This is my 4th solo trip, I've booked plenty of TS ADRs before and never had trouble booking anywhere for a party of 1.

Looking at Narcoossee's for ADRs on several evenings during the week before my dates - it will NOT show any tables for a party of 1. If I put "2," I have plenty of choices. The others I'm looking at (even BOG!) show me times for 1.

Is there something that makes Narcoossee's different when trying to book for 1? I know I've read on other threads here that it's OK to book for 2 and just show up as 1, but if anyone wants to reassure me on that point, I'd appreciate it.

While never done intentionally we have shown up with less people than the ADR was for. It happened twice last trip because my grandmother didn't feel well. It was never an issue when checking in for our lunch or dinner.

You're totally fine to book as 2 and show up as 1. We've done this trying to get a coveted ADR, booking for 3 or 4 when it's just the 2 of us. (Or we've even met up with friends and had them join us since we had the extra spot available.) It's never a problem to downsize the reservation. Adding seats you didn't book, that's when it becomes a problem.

I had that problem with my last trip as solo. The CM at Disney Dining told me to book as 2, then she could modify it to 1. It worked fine!
