Can you give me some ideas about the acceptable dress code at Narcoossee and Yachtsman Steak House?

We've seen folks wear all sorts of 'interesting' attire at both places, but it's typically 'resort dress'. In other words, you don't need to wear coat/tie or evening dresses, but nice slacks/pants and buttoned top seems more appropriate. You might feel slightly out of place in shorts and T's. I usually sport khakis w/ a short sleeved Polo dress shirt and the Chief will wear nice Capris with a bottoned blouse.

Business casual attire is requested but a lot of people disregard the dress code. I'm also a big fan of dress slacks with a Polo or button down. My chief also wears a nice blouse/slack combo.

From what the CM (Rita Beth) I talked to today - No t-shirts, tank tops, swim suit or swim suit cover up, cuts off or torn clothing of any kind. Nice polo shirt and nice khaki shorts/pants would be ideal for men and nice blouse with nice shorts/skirt/pants or a dress would be ideal for ladies.

Both are meant to be smart (though half the people don't seem to bother which really annoys me). I'd go for black bottom (trousers/skirt) and white shirt/smart t-shirt or a dress

It's suggested to be a little more formal (kackis/polos/skirts/sun dresses), but we've gotten away with shorts (not tacky, but polo golf style)... at both places...

We went to yachtsman on friday 8/18 and my family was over dressed. I seen people in shorts jean skirts flip flops. I almost felt out of place. The food was fantastic best steak i ever had.

I think the trouble is you can't actually enforce it because people kick up a fuse when you do! (although have to say DCL do however do as on formal night in May they suggested a couple who arrived in Jeans may be more appropriate going to a buffett). Best thing is to dress nice and then make people who are in casual clothes feel out of place so next time they dress up too.

Last summer, my DH wore navy khaki shorts and a Ralph Lauren polo shirt when we ate at Narcoosee's. I wore a skirt and my girls also wore skirts (prairie style). I felt we were dressed just fine. My DH wore shorts because we were staying at the BC and were headed to MK after dinner. There was no way he could've worn pants in August at MK.

The food was excellent, by the way ;)

I agree that wearing trousers round the park in August would have been hard but I still think that when there is a dress code then people should attempt to follow it that's all I'm saying, otherwise you end up with kids in swimsuits going to top class resturants in Disney.
