Narcoosee's?

We won't go back. Narcoossee's underwhelmed us.

The lobster was okay, service was awful (we must have hit it on an off night, usually I hear great things about the service) but I must say, oh my goodness the potatoes that come with the lobster are delicious!!

IMO it is overpriced and there are many other restaurants at WDW we have enjoyed more and spent less at.

Narcoosee's is good, but there are much better places -- CG, Citricos and Jiko to name three.

Narcoosee's sells a very average Maine lobster for $59, which is basicallly obscene for the lobster they serve. Lately, it's been under 2 pounds and tough.

We avoid Narcoosee's in favor of better places now that provide more value, like Jiko.

We absolutely LOVE Narcoossee's! We always go when we go to WDW. It has been very consistent for us regarding the food quality and service...both have been out of this world! I enjoy the atmosphere there as well! If you can get a window seat, the view is terrific! :thumbsup2

We love Narcoossee's for the atmosphere, the views, the fireworks as well as the great service and good food.

I've heard the lobster tail that comes with the surf & turf dish isn't terribly good. I recommend asking for scallops instead of lobster. The filet and scallops together are delicious and I think they're less expensive. And the cheesecake is wonderful.

LOVE it!! Plus, you can go out on the veranda and watch the fireworks. The music is played. And then the electric water pageant comes by! I enjoy the view from the veranda as much as california grill and getting a spot is less of a big deal.

Dh and I LOVED Narcoosee. Everything was perfect. Great wine, great service, great atmosphere....and the food was perfection. Everything on the plate was delicious. We ordered a half portion of the scallop entree as an appetizer and a mushroom appetizer. I had the whole Maine lobster and DH had the scallop entree. I think I had the almond crusted cheesecake and coffee. We were overwhelmed at the quality of the whole meal. Even the little salad garnishes and the veggies were superb. My hubby could have eaten a bucket of the mushroom risotto served under the scallops. We are going back again in April for our date night while the kiddos go to the Neverland Club.

I think I remember reading that the surf and turf includes a warm water lobster tail which could explain the many reports of poor quality when ordering this entree. I personally wouldn't waste my money on warm water lobster at ANY restaurant because it is tasteless and chewy--nothing like cold water lobster. JMHO I would do as a pp suggested and substitute the scallops on the surf and turf.

We've been to Narcoossee's at least 3 times and have enjoyed it. You may want to check out Narcoossee's menu here on the DIS.

We ate there in December, and it's the best meal we've had at WDW to date.

I had the artisan cheeses and the lobster, and my husband had the buttermilk fried shrimp appetizer and the filet. Yum!

And service was impeccable.

My husband thought the filet was better than the one he got at Yachtsman Steakhouse earlier this month.
