Napping during Country Bear Jamboree multiple times in a row?

Hello everyone,

If your child falls asleep during Country Bear Jamboree, can you remain in the theater for multiple shows without leaving (until they wake up)? This is assuming of course that there is enough room without taking a seat away from someone waiting on line.

Alternatively, could you stay in the waiting room with a sleeping child?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure of the answer, but just be warned that you will have "Momma Don't Whoop Little Buford" stuck in the head for the remainder of your trip if you sit through it multiple times. :jester:

I don't know about the waiting room but they won't let you stay in the theater for multiple shows. Someone tried that because of a sleeping child (they were in the row in front of me) and the CM told them they weren't allowed to stay - the CM had to clear out the theater between shows.

This was in early December 2014 that I saw it. So maybe it has changed now.

You can sit in the waiting room. My sister and I sat through 2 shows and charged our phones while my son went in and watched the show.

Hall of the Presidents provides good snoozing chairs and is a longer show!

Yessss! This is our go-to show for that mid-afternoon snooze with A/C when we don't feel like listening to the Carousel of Progress. We usually sit in the back row and put in our headphones for a 20 minute nap!

Even if they let you stay, which is very unlikely, no matter where you sit you would both be jostled and perhaps have your feet trod on as all of the other guests exited or entered your row. HOP is a better idea.

Thank you all so much for your answers! Just to keep my options open:

1. Any way to sit through hall of presidents multiple times - whether in the waiting room or in the theater itself? Is there a waiting room? Are all areas air conditioned?

2. How long are each of these shows?

I don't know the answer to these questions, but I would note that you can stay for 19 straight hours in a hotel room. Perhaps you could check out that option.

There are child changing/rest areas on all the parks. I've never used them but I hear they are cool and relatively calm and quiet with TV for little ones. That could be a good option if you are looking to get away from the stimulation.

As many times as I have been to the parks (especially being a local), i STILL have NEVER done Country Bear Jamboree and Hall of Presidents. I have no excuse. I should really do these sometime!

I love to hear Teddy Roosevelt sing, "Blood on the Saddle."
It makes me tear up, every time!

I don't think they want anyone to stay in the shows multiple times. Waiting rooms should be fine though.

The longest rides/park:

Magic Kingdom:
  • Hall of Presidents: 22 minutes. There is an A/C waiting area with presidential memorabilia to look at, but not many benches. If you want a bench to sit on, try to go in right after a show has gone in.
  • Carousel of Progress: 20 minutes
Epcot:
  • American Adventure: 28 minutes. Also an a/c waiting area downtairs that you can just stay in with various historical items in it.
  • Ellen's Energy Adventure: 45 minutes--but that includes the 5-10 minute pre show before they make you move into the ride vehicles. There are also benches by the exit--our first trip with kids I ended up there nursing my youngest(she started crying during the preshow so we left) while waiting for DH and my oldest DD to come out of the ride...that was when I discovered just how long a ride it was.
  • Circle of Life movie at the Land pavilion--19 minutes
  • Impressions de France movie--18 minutes
  • Avoid the movies in Canada and China as they're the circlevision ones that have you stand for the show.
Hollywood Studios:
Not much for a/c rides/shows other than the Great Movie Ride at 18 minutes. Beauty and the Beast show is sheltered and lasts 1/2 hour--depending on how early you can get seated, you may be able to stretch that into 45+ minutes.

Animal Kingdom:
  • Festival of the Lion King--30 minutes
  • Finding Nemo--40 minutes
  • Rafiki's Planet Watch--take the Wildlife Express and just hang out in the a/c building there.

I second the baby care center. All the times I have been in there, it has been relatively empty. There is a room with multiple changing tables and a room with multiple rocking chairs and a TV. It's quiet, air conditioned and the cast members working in there are super helpful and happy to have people using the facility. At least that has been my experience...and at busy, peak times too.

How old is this child that is falling asleep during a show? A toddler or infant could nap in a stroller in any gift shop or even in a QS restaurant if it wasn't busy (tomorrowland terrace area has AC) If you don't have a stroller, I'd suggest renting one on the nap day.

Or are you talking about an older child, say 7-8 years old? Then I'd plan on going back to the room for a rest, and just staying out later that night.

What about a long Monorail ride? If you're lucky, it will break down & you will have a couple hours!
My kids napped/rested in the stroller. We tried going back to our room for a nap, and DH was the only one who slept, the kids were too wound up! We stayed in the parks each day after that!

They used to let us stay on the peoplemover for multiple loops, but our last trip was pre-FP+ when no one was ever waiting to get on. I've seen pics of the line these days, so I'm guessing that's no longer the case. Maybe someone else can confirm.

Staying in either the theater or the holding area would be up to the discretion of the CM's operating the attraction. You can ask, but you can't go in planning on knowing what the answer will be.

I don't think you can sit through ANY show multiple times. I think any show that's in a theater has to be cleared out in between. The waiting rooms you could, though. Both the waiting areas at Country Bears and HOP are air conditioned, but the one at HOP is larger. I believe, however, that all the benches at HOP are in the middle. In other words, no back on them so you couldn't lean against the wall like you could while sitting on a bench at Country Bears.

Honestly, I would never want to get stuck on country bears. If you need nap or nursing, go to the baby center. It's so nice there, and they have Disney movies on the tvs. Way better than Blood on the Saddle!
