Is Napa Rose within the 60-day priority seating time table? Is it hard to get ressies for? Anything I need to know????

Thanks.

All TS restaurants at DL and DCA (and the DLR hotels) are within the 60 day time frame. I don't know about how hard it is to get a ressie, I've never eaten there. :)

If you're planning to go during off season, it's not hard at all to get a table. One day I went w/ my fam, didn't have any reservations, and was able to walk right on in. You can always make a reservation just in case & make any changes if something comes up.

Have to agrree with this, depends on when you go. Love the chefs table.

Agree with Jack, the chef's counter is so fun. DD13 and I did this. I believe YellowMickeyPonchos goes most every month to do chef's counter with her DH. I think she said to ask for seats 4-8, if you do? Because that puts you right in front of the main action in the kitchen.

Look at my TR (link in my siggy), post #74, near the end of the post, for our Napa dining experience in October.

I think it can be hit or miss because we got one of the miss times for chef counter. We went on a Thursday 8:30 seating three weeks ago and were the ONLY ones at the counter. They were out of the Vintner's menu so we could not order that and we never did talk to one chef the whole time we were there. I wanted to have the chef make our menu but was told to order off the menu. Our food was excellent but there was no interaction and we did not get to watch them prepare our food (did see others being prepared and had to ask the servers what the meals were) even with sitting in the prime seats where we were supposed to be able to watch it. With that being said I would try again but will be going into it without any expectations because for $200 for two people I don't want to be disappointed about not getting any extras.

the one time we went for a full meal we reserved the chef's table. i actually was at the seat that Samantha Brown sat at on her show. although a while before she was there... anyhow i digress.

try to reserve seats at the chef's table. it's great to chat with the chefs. also if you do sit there, try to do the vitner's menu. it's a prix fixe multi course menu and i recommend the flight of wines they pair with each course.

also, what we've done since we love napa rose but aren't millionares, we walk in and go to the bar. usually order a glass of wine and split an apetizer. and some times get a cup of coffee too depending. it's less expensive and it's still napa rose.

I have heard infrequent stories, luckily we have not had other than a first class experience and trust me, we are not in the money.

We are going to try again but it was disappointing. We were celebrating our anniversary and it took ds awhile to warm up to the idea.

I know what a bummer it can be when some occasion such as an anniversary or the like can be ruined. Happened a number of years ago to us at BB, but has not happened since. I found out that the chefs to change and sometimes need to be engaged opposed to vice versa. DGF and I are a number of years apart and fairly quiet folks but have no problem getting them to repond. I will be 63 in August and we plan to do NR on that day.
