We have Napa Rose ressies for this Thurs night. We are celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary. Any suggestions on what's good to eat there. Thanks!

They change the menus relatively often, so you might try to look for a current menu posted somewhere.

I have never had anything there that I didn't think was great. About the only item I believe is always on the menu is the Scallops with the Lemon Lobster Vanilla Sauce - absolutely phenomenal - the vanilla is not overpowering or sweet, the dish was designed to match up well with premium California Chardonnays.

They also do a version of a pan roasted lamb rib chops most of the time as well as takes on beef short ribs, duck in various styles ( meatballs over pappardelle - awesome) , etc.

Enjoy!

I recommend the Smiling Tiger salad!! So unique and so delicious!!

We did the Chef's Counter for DH's birthday, and other then the salad, the Filet was my favorite dish served. Being from Kansas City - I know good steak, and this was one of the best I've ever had.

Have fun! I'm sure no matter what you order, it will be fabulous!!

Did you mention that you are there for your anniversary? Make sure you mention it and they will make it very special for you. Congratulations and have a great trip!

I had the filet when I was there last week, it was great, but it did not look like the picture that the pp posted. It was a whole filet with a sauce with diced tomatoes in it. I did not care for the mushroom bisque soup I got for an app- it was rather bland. For a side I had the truffle mac and cheese and that was good.
The people I ate with had the scallops w/ lobster sauce (not sure what it was called) and they were both very pleased.

Enjoy your time there!

We share the signature pizzetta appetizer (the one with grapes, prosciutto, and cambozola cheese) every time. It's DW's favorite thing ever (her words). We also have enjoyed the short rib entree, filet mignon, pork osso bucco, and of course wine.

As a PP stated, the menu changes often and makes the most of seasonal ingredients, so if you view a menu on-line, don't get your heart set on any one item, as it may not be there when you visit. That being said, we love NR and have consistently enjoyed our meals there. Have a great dinner! :thumbsup2

I would ask your server, they will know what is best at the time. When I was there in May, the highlights were the Copper River Salmon and a Fennel Bread Pudding. The menu is so seasonal, though, they might not be serving these dishes now.

And save room for dessert! You may want to look at pictures from this thread just to whet your appetite:

Have fun! :goodvibes
