I got my confirmation in the mail afew days ago. My first name is spelled 3 different ways on the letter Nikole, Nickole, &Nichole. None of which is right. I did spell my name out for them (Nicole). They had no problem getting my money. I put the trip on my Disney Visa for the rewards. Should I call and give them the proper spelling of my name again or just let it go?

I would let it go. My name is frequently spelled incorrectly, doesn't bother me.

When you check in, just let them know. They will correct it at that point. Very easy to do.

Disney has given me a third daughter for 6 years now. They mistakenly put my daughter's name as Sylvia, instead of Sophia, when we started adding her to our reservations. When I called to correct it- THey just added Sophia, but never deleted Sylvia.

Now, everytime I call for reservations, they ask about Sylvia joining us, and a few times have assumed that we are a party of 5, and try to charge accordingly- I have asked them to delete it MANY times, without luck.

Unfortunetly, there is no way to delete a name from the reservation. There IS however, a way to make the person dissapear. It has to be done before the entitlements have been created. Basically, when the CM checks you in, the first thing that should be done (but often isn't) is a party mix count. (ie, 2 adults, 3 children) If they update the party mix, and then verify that the correct names are on the card, that should 'delete' the invisible Sylvia. :)

I know how you feel. When my comfirmation came, they had my address wrong...it was correct, they just added an apartment number :confused3 We live in a house though, not an apt. So I called and asked them about it and she looked at our account and said that it wasn't showing an apt number. It must still be there though, b/c we just got another confirmation letter (after paying in full) and the apt number is still there. Oh well, I don't think it matters. Just as long as I am getting my Disney mail I am happy! :goodvibes

Well, my youngest ds turned into a dd through their computers. When we got our confirmation later it listed him as miss. I ignore it, because alot of people automatically assume he is a she from his name. I will worry more when he is older. In case your wondering his name is Kaelin.

My name is K-A-T-H-R-Y-N and no matter how many times I spell it out for people, I end up with variations such as:

Katheryn
Kathrein
Katherine
Catherine
Katharine
Catharine
Kathy

and it's never caused me a problem for domestic travel, but when I cross the border I will haggle until my name is spelled correctly on all travel documents.

Even worse, my last name is Dickson. I get Dixon almost every time.

tone.def- We share the same first name, and the same problem! My last name is almost always misspelled unless I spell it out, too.

And I agree- for any kind of foreign travel (where they have to match docs to passports or birth certificates), I always make sure my name's correct on all documents.

But for hotel reservations and domestic travel, I've never had any trouble with slight variations or misspellings on the reservations.

I frequently have the same problem (mine is K-E-I-L-E-Y, pronounced Key-Lee). Unless you've booked airfare I wouldn't worry!!

Tyler knows his stuff, you can count on him to be pretty much right on!!

If you want your name spelled corectly on your room key so you can keep it as a souvenir have them change it.

CRT had my name spelled wrong. did not bring the confirmation #. Made it the day before, got lucky because someone backed out last minute. Anyway...did not think we were going to get in without having to go back to my room and get the number. Finally asked her to look and see some of the names looked close to ours.

My last name is Doege
CRT had it as Bobge

When they called our name "The Royal Bobge family"
Still had a good time, sat by the window, loved it.

This is why we usually ask for a phone number to use as a confirmation number when booking dining... :)
