Right then - I have 7 weeks until our little baby boy is going to make his grand entrance into the world......and he doesn't have a name yet.....I mean nothing at all, DH and I have absolutley no clue what we are going to call him, so can you suggest some names for us?

We don't want anything too normal, but nothing too way out either.......................... :)

Hi Gems

Funnily enough, hubby and I could never agree on boys names, so it was just as well that we had girls :rotfl2:

I think that my fave boys names at the moment are Jake, Ryan and Jack (sorry, I know these are all normal names)

Good luck with choosing a name

Mandy :)

I do like the 'classic' names like Jack, William, James etc, we decided on Callum as soon as I got pregnant, and there weren't any others around here called that then, now there are loads of Callums, Connors, Liams, so its really difficult. My friend had Spencer lined up but took one look at her baby and called him George.
There are 5 Daniels (Dans, Dannys etc) in Callums class alone.

Whats your surname so we can think of names that will go with it?

Being a teacher I now relate all names to pupils I have had :confused3

From my own experience (dont want to insult anyone) but I would never call a boy Ryan, as the 5 I have taught have all been "Little Terrors" ;)

Connor, Liam and Lewis are all very popular (there seems to be loads of these at school).

I personally like Zac, Ashley, Thomas and Ethan

:goodvibes

One thing I would add is if you have a long surname, a short Christian name would help, when your child is at school. I once taught a Sebastian James Southwaite and that poor child had so much trouble writing his name

I like Kai and Tyler. At school we have a Brandon, Jayden, Wesley but the best is Rocky that is his real name!!

Our Surname is Rich, so nothing that begins with an R goes! I like Tyler, and Harley but DH isn't so sure.

My nephews are called Jake, George and Joe so those are all out and our God Son is a Jack, also have one called Shane, but I really don't like that so it's not a contender!

If I ever have another son...I'm naming him Malachi (mal-u-kai)

I really like both of those Gems, they both go with Rich and Shelby Rose

I love the name Tyler, Luke and Noah are other faves (don't know why I have gone for biblical names :lmao: , Dylan and Ashley are cool too.
Boys names are really hard though, I'm always better with girls.

I'd call any baby Munchy if I had a choice.. :rotfl2:

I have no real ideas, but I did find this. Have a look and see if anything nice appears. :thumbsup2

We had a very short list when we were deciding on names for Joseph (obviously Joseph was top of that list) but others we considered were Thomas and Benjamin. :)

I did come across the name Mackenzie which I quite liked although DW was none to keen if I remember correctly

Good luck choosing :thumbsup2

How about "Very" :teeth:

We called our DS Ellis - (Its Walts middle name almost - Elias) my hubby didnt like Elias but he did like Ellis :thumbsup2 .

For the love of all that is good, do not choose a name with a "wacky" spelling like Jorjah instead of Georgia or Nathyn instead of Nathan. Don't these people realise how stupid it makes them and their children look? Oh ... and avoid names blatantly taken from American soaps like Tyler, Brandon or Fraiser. We're in England - not California!

Finally, my DW works in a school and she tells me there is one certainty. Every boy called "Liam" is a little er ... PITA (work it out) that you're glad you don't have to go home and deal with.

My name for a boy if I have one in the future is Tyler Joesph which is named after Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith. I picked it when I was pregnant with DD. actually DD was very nearly called Tyler Josephine.

I also like Isaac though can't have that one as it is already taken in the family.
