MYW tickets question

Are the MYW no expiration dates coded to a particular person? For instance, can we save all 12 and use them ourselves (Richard & I) on a future trip?

The reason I am asking is that we all have PAPs and might want to book the free dining just in case there are no AKL AP rate discounts for September. We have 6 adults with two reservations (because we are staying more than 10 days) so that would be twelve tickets in all. If it is ok for anyone to use MYW no expiration tickets on a future trip we might do this. If it is not ok, obviously we wouldn't. Not looking to break any rules here, I just don't know the answer.

Thanks,
Mel

Sorry, no. MYW tickets are for the exclusive use of one guest, and cannot be transferred to anther. You'll need to purchase separate MYW tickets for each guest.

They are coded to a specific person upon first usage, via finger dimensions recorded by scanners at the turnstiles.

As it is unwise for any one person to use more than one ticket on a given (4 to 10 day) vacation when at least one ticket is new, when you do multiple resort stays with dining you will often end up with unused leftover tickets for future use. These do not need non-expiration.

No experience has been recorded on the future use of unused package MYW tickets (on room keys that bear names) by different people but the general principle is that an unused ticket is transferable.

I really appreciate you answering the question I asked in the way you did. :worship: If I understood you correctly, provided none of the tickets got used at all they would not need to be non expirary? Is this because they expire from date of first use as a ticket and that has nothing to do with resort stay? That would save me some money right up front. :) That must be why they don't sell one day non expirary tickets. I cannot believe I couldn't work that one out on my own. :rolleyes1

That is correct.
