Do you think they can apply the ticket upgrade offer to DVC members or is it only available when puchasing a package including a room and if so could you book a room for one night but buy tickets for more days and then get the upgrade but never use the room. The savings may be enought to be worth the cost of one night at a value resort.

Sorry - do not know what it is you are asking about. Is there some new package available to cash guests to get a ticket upgrade? Or are you asking about adding the Dining Plan to a DVC reservation?

If it's the latter, DVC members do not have to buy a ticket of any kind to add the Dining Plan to a points reservation. That's different from the rules cash guest must follow - they cannot add the Dining Plan to a room only reservatation.

The ticket upgrade is only available with the 6D 7N MYW package. You cannot book 'room only' and then add it on. It's package or nothing.
