MYW ticket ? re: 14 day expiration

Sorry if I've missed this...don't remember seeing it addressed though. If you buy the 10-day MYW ticket, with the added water park feature (6 admissions for that length of pass), if you DON'T purchase the non-expiry feature...does the ticket still expire at 14 days from first use? That would mean that you would have to use 2 water park (etc.) admissions on the same day as other admissions, or you'd lose them, is that right? We're not interested in Pleasure Island, though we might consider Disney Quest again...

I guess I'm curious whether or not Disney has addressed this, perhaps extending the expiration a couple of days for these tickets. Anyway, I'd appreciate any experience/info...TIA!

Yes. The ticket still expires on the 14th day following its initial use. So for a 10-day pass with the Waterpark Fun & More option, you would have to use a couple of those plus options on park days in order to take advantage of them before the tickets expire.

I think the percentage of people who use all there "pluses" are rare. I know if you did a search before they switched to paying extra for these, you will see people reporting how many they have left. I know between DD and I we have about 30 pluses on various old tickets as the passes automatically come with 3-5 of these and we never used them. At one point I actually started throwing out tickets that only had these left.

Yep, I have two old 6 day PHPs that have a plus on each of them from '01. We'll use them at some point. That's why I always add that non-expire on all my passes. That, and the hopping ability.

Thanks for the replies...that's pretty much what I expected to hear. So far we haven't been lucky enough to extend our trips beyond 14 days anyway. And those staying any longer would most likely spring for an AP.
