MYW...$$$ Jump Between 7 and 8 Day Pass?

I'm guessing this has been discussed, but I was curious if anyone knew why there is a such a price jump between a 7 day and 8 day MYW Hopper?

A 7 day is $286 and an 8 Day is $336. A $50 difference. After that a 9 or 10 day is only a few dollars more than an 8 day and before that, there is only about a $10-$13 difference between a 5 day and a 6 day and a 7 day. (did that make sense?! LOL!)

Not complaining, I know the longer you stay the better the deal, I was just curious why such a big jump just between 7 day and 8 day.

What makes the difference is the no expire option. Tickets that expire seem to increase $3 per day but with no expire option that causes the large difference. Thats Disney's new pricing structure.

Oh! I see! I betcha, Disney figures a typical stay is 7 days and then to get more days (that don't expire) between 7 and 8 is where they jump the price more. I didn't check prices for the the tickets that expire, but I bet there is less of a jump for those...Makes sense!

I currently have 7 day MYW without the no expire option, and to upgrade them to 8 day would cost me $3 each.

I was actually able to buy 8 day tickets through Ticketmania (that expire) at a lower price than the 7 day ticket.

If you need or want non-expiration on a 8 or 9 day ticket, expand the ticket all the way to 10 days at the same time, the extra days cost $4. apiece.

New revelation -- If your vacation is for 10 or 9 theme park days, you are better off with expiring tickets that just cover the days. 8 days is a tossup.

We had 7 day expire/plus/no hopper, added 8th day for $10 and change for family of four.
