I know you can share meals at WDW and I know that alot of people are using their kids MYW dining credits for adult meals and then paying out of pocket for their kids meals. Apparently the restaraunts are not having a problem giving people two seperate bills for this. I'm not much of a drinker, but I know my son and D-I-L will probably want to order something to drink with their meals and maybe at 'Ohanas we might want a different dessert. We may also decide to share a meal and just order some extra salads or sides. If we order these items that are not included in the MYW Free Dining, can I use my DDE card to get the 20% discount off of them? In other words receive one bill for the free dining items and another one to pay cash (using the DDE card discounts).

Both programs are independent - you are entitled to the discount on anything you actually purchase with your own funds.

From what I understand (I have spoken to several CM's about this as I will be doing the same thing next trip) they can just ring it all up, deduct the food that has the credits, and can either just add the paid-for food to the same check or run a seperate one.

In either case, you will get your discount.

Good luck!
