MYW with dining + Split Stay: Resort & DVC Rental = ?

I'm guessing at least the dining opition is not an option for the DVC portion of our stay. But, how would the ticket work?? Im planning 3 nights at a MK resort followed by 3 nights at BC/BWV at the end of February. I only want park hopping passes for 5 days. Can anyone please, help with this?

Thanks,
IncredibleMom

even if you stay only one night you can book up to a 10 day ticket, good from the the first time you use it till 14 days later (unless you pay for the non-exp option)

I know it would be too good to be true for it to work the same way for the dining add-on.....so how does that work?

 It depends on which is first - if the resort is first then you can do the dining plan with no problem. It is based on the number of nights you have booked at the resort but you also have to have tickets for at least one day at the parks. If DVC is first then you would have to purchase an additional day at the parks with your resort reservations for each member of the party to be able to get dining.

My resort stay is the first 3 nights, so that means that I will book a package with a room for 3 nights, 6 days of park hopping, and 3 days of dining? Is that correct?

Do all of my dining "points" expire at the end of check-out (from resort) day?

Is this all I need to know, or can you give me any more suggestions or tips that can help me do this the best way possible?

Believe it or not I used to be the WDW Know-it-All, but I've gone back to school, and well, alot has changed in a year! Our last couple of trips had been discovery magic packages and I had really learned how to use those magical wishes!

Thank you so much!

Yes, that is correct.

That is exactly right. They can be used starting on the day you check into the resort until the end of the day you check out.

I'm sure someone will come along with some helpful words of wisdom! :earsboy: What was most helpful for me was to review the dining options, which restaurants accepted the dining plan, etc so I knew what my options were.

Congrats on going back to school. I'm doing the same thing. 2 years down and 2 to go - I may be crazy before this is all done! Have a wonderful vacation!

I have just learned that the Dining Plan has been modified to include DVC guests. It sounds like you can have it for both of your reservations! :Pinkbounc Good Luck!

Our stay is the other way around. Five nights at VWL (DVC rental) and then 2 nights at AKL. I'd like the dining for those 2 nights, and eight-day park passes (2 adults, 3 kids.) Now, can I use those passes on my first day, even though it's at VWL, not AKL?

Help.
