Hi everybody, I'm back again. I've been staying at my girlfirend's house th past couple weeks to avoid my psycho roommate, and Rachel doesn't have internet access at her place. So time to fill you in on what's been going on at the grotto of the gods...
Many of you have been asking what's up with the hours situation. As a rule of thumb, Mythos is open from 11:30-3:30 on weekdays, 11:30-6:30 on Saturday. On holidays (like this past weekend, Memorial Day) we are open for dinner. As we apporach July, our hours will expand, but it's anyone's guess what exactly they will be. The best answer I have to you is call the restaraunt at (407) 224-2534 to find out.
I know you are confused as to why we aren't open more, but it's purely a business decision. Theme parks and restaraunts in said theme parks are like rollercoasters. You have fast paced dips and peaks, with some lull times to ctach your breath. Other than summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, spirng break/Easter, attendance isn't stellar. There's no point in keeping the restaraunt open if we don't get business. Sorry!
On a completely different note, I want to thank all of you who came in last week to eat and asked for me! I came in on Friday and the manager and servers were asking me if was this internet guy! Apparantly they had at least 10 seperate tables of you DISers in 3 days! I'm sorry I was only there to meet one family; Tues-Thurs are my school days. I'm a full time business student on top of full tiem second cook, so I'm a pretty busy person.
Anyhoo, you all helped me earn soem brownie points and I thnak you for that! Come back again!
Let me see, antyhign else on the horizon? hmmm....ah yes, we have a wine dinner coming up in early june. I don't remember the exact date. If anyone's interested, I can get more info for you. Basically, we have these wine dinners every couple months. We do a 4 course meal paired with various fine wines. If you think our food is good on the menu, the dishes my chefs come up with for the wine dinners will blow you away. The main course this time around will be bison tenderloin studded with garlic cloves and bacon lardon. Very tasty. Cost is $75 and requires a 25 dollar credit card deposit.
Oh, finally. We now have a feast of the gods special running. For $28 you get your chocie of cesar or house salad, cedar salmon or balsamic chicken, and strawberry shortcake or praline cheesecake rollup. You also receive a complimentry glass of rotari wine.
Well, talk to you all later. I'm off to class!
