Hi all, it's me again. They finally let me out of the nut farm so I'm back to fill you in on Mythos information.

1)For all of you who have expressed displeasure for the lack of our dinner hours, rejoice. Starting Monday, April 9, we will be open until 11:30 am-9 pm. This is a seasonal decision based on Spring Break and Easter, and will be in affect for 2-3 weeks, maybe more dependign on business. Now you all will be able to have a nice, relaxing and gourmet dinner on the lagoon after a long day at the park.

2)We are losing 3 menu items for this time, which I'm happy about considering i dont like to eat or prepare them. They are the tuna carpaccio salad, the tasting of mushroom app and the blackened corvina.

That's all I know for now. If any of you eat at Mythos, stop by the front line and say hi! MY name's Randy, look for the sideburns!

I don't understand these hours at all. Why would a nice restaurant want to close before dinner?
3 weeks of extended hours??? Hmmm! I won't be there then! How about May hours...or is Mythos only going to be a nice place to have lunch?

when you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are, but if ya wanna discount ya better live in Florida!

Thanks for the info Randy!
I do hope it works out with dinner hours thru-out the summer. The meals are so divine there, but I can't manage a dessert after a hearty meal & expect to ride some coasters later! (I'm not normally a dessert-skipping kind of guy either.)
It'll be great to feast out up until closing and then be "rolled" to the exit gates!!

Oh Randy! Please tell me you will be serving the wild mushroom appetizer at lunch time!!! Our family lives at Mythos when we visit and my all time favorite is the wild mushroom appetizer, this will surely depress me. This is my entree each time we visit.

uneami-yeah, all of us on the staff are wondering the same thing too. It mostly revolves around labor cost. Because of the impending recession, business is slowing in the parks. Universal has always been overzealous in terms of labor cost, but now they are becoming fanatical. As full time, I'm supposed to be guaranteed 32 hours, but somehow they're getting away with schedualing me 28. Oh well.

In may, im sure our dinner hours will return, probably in mid to late may. Then it will be right on through August or September.

h20jag-hehe!

dopeymom- unfortuantely, the mushroom sautee app was replaced by the tasting of mushrrom app almost 2 months ago. It's sold alright, not as good as the sautee though. The tasting takes way too long to make and is too complicated. I don't know if they'll be replacing it with the original or not.

We ate at mythos on Tues(?) and I have to say it was the best meal we had on our trip. I had the risitto of the day...with spinach and muchrooms and a chicken breast stuffed with spinach and tomatoes, surroounded by baby squash. It was wonderful. My DS had the wrap of the day..chipolta pepper tortillia stiffed with chicken, peppers, rice and black beans. DH had the chicken sandwich. All the food was wonderful and our server was great, but I can't remember his name.
