Mystery at Sea

Well i just found this thread and found out about the whole thing. It is quite cute how they did this. Can somebody just update me what is going on? I tried to figure out the morse code stuff got the first one and gave up. lol. maybe i should stop playing vmk for awhile, it takes up too much time :rotfl2: I am sooo excited about this whole thing. if it is too Europe i am already pack even though i have no idea where it is going. Write now i am looking for scholorships so i don't have to pay for college and pay for the cruise, which probably going to turn out to cost about an college education.

1. The latitude/longitude clues are the source of the news articles which are about NOT finding the ship. Therefore, those indicate where the ship ISN'T. So the ship is NOT at Castaway Cay, Alaska, Hawaii, etc.

I think this is right!

I'm gonna vote for Greece. All the clues look that way to me. Wow that's would be a great cruise.

It looks like to me with all the clues ( I spent an hour searching this out) they are by the looks of it doing a European run, starting out of England!

I agree with disneylover on that one to where the ship ISN'T at.

Also where some people were saying coffee.. LOOK closely it's tea! and I don't think the sound you hear is a cash register when you click on the cup, I think it's a military drum beat for England.

Orlando new channels 2, 6, and 7 reporting Europe 2007... but the news is reporting this based on Travel Agent's Reports, nothing from DCL yet.

Come on 3/21! I'm so excited!!!

I can't be Alaska or Hawaii, because they are announcing it at the World showcase at EPCOT.
I wonder if I should show up at EPCOT on Tuesday..... Maybe they will be giving away a free cruise? :teeth:

An idea.... I am going to call guest services at EPCOT this morning, to see where in the World Showcase it will be announced and at what time. Maybe they will slip and say it will be in front of the France Pavillion or UK Pavillion...

I'll let you know in 1 hour!!! :thumbsup2

Good work misseulalie, I'll be anxious to hear if you get any info out of those CMs at Epcot!

Just for fun -
I've been checking out every possible cruise line website for itinerary ideas. Here's a 12-day Carnival that might be similar to the 10/11 day cruises. You'll notice a lot of ports that have been discussed over the past week. Croatia....now THAT would be interesting. If I was ever in Croatia I'd have to go find Vlado, the recently retired Croatian DCL server that my family adored! He'd probably run the other direction yelling "I'm done serving you people!" Anyways, read on...

Just got off the phone with Guest services at EPCOT, and the official word is......................

Nothing!!! They know absolutely nothing!!! (either they know and aren't telling me or truly know nothing.) I am guessing they really don't know. Why would they tell hourly employees knowing they really don't have a stake in the company. They did put me in touch with DCL marketing and I got a voice message. So I left a message. Maybe they will call back/Maybe not... :guilty:

Did anyone see this other post

Magic Announcement

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our local news station just showed the story that the Magic will be cruising next summer to England Italy and France. It was just a 10 -15 second announcement .my husband was watching and woke me up screaming that the Magic has gone to Europe.(He gets things confused sometimes) They were showing film clips of the Magic leaving the Port. Had to rewind the DVR to see itfor myself.
So it is official here in Orlando.
Just thought I'd fill you in.

If you look at the map today you can see the ---- connecting the different dates and it is definitely heading to Europe. Maybe it will be stationed in Southampton England since a lot of the clues have been about England?

I am wondering if the hourglasses that appear on the postcard stamps signify how many ports of call the ship will make in each country (and also how many days at sea it will spend)?

Long/Lat -

(ONLY MAP NO NEWSPAPER) - 40N 73W New York
(Day 1 March 8th) 26N 77W - Castaway Cay
(Day 2 March 10th ) 57N 135W - Alaska
(Day 3 March 13th) 52N 4W - Wales United Kigdom
(Map Only) - 52N 4E - Amsterdam
(Day 4 March 15th) 21N 157W - Hawaii
(Day 5 March 17th) - 48N 2E - Paris

I still think the LONG/LAT is where the Ship is NOT going....Ship can not get to Paris....unless it grows feet!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

No but a lot of ships that sail the Med stop in ports neaby with excursions to Paris

Today's Morse Code message states:

Our monkeys are not apes.

I don't know about you folks, but I think the Disney Cruise Line is having fun making monkeys out of all of us here in this wild & crazy thread.

I am wondering if the hourglasses that appear on the postcard stamps signify how many ports of call the ship will make in each country (and also how many days at sea it will spend)?

Or maybe the coins?? Are they signifying how many ports of calls there will be for each country that the ship calls on?

No, that is not true. There are no Med ports any where near Paris. The only way you could possibly do a day excursion to Paris from a Med port is to fly. You may be thinking about Northern European cruise itineraries, they have port stops that include excursions to Paris. ;)
